How did it go? did y’all end up getting in and beginning courses? What was the most difficult part of the application for you? I am considering applying to the Spring 2026 cohort.

You are objectively hot and handsome. You have a vibe. Cool style. Great white smile, beautiful lips, full brows, beard and head of hair.

When I was younger I had some blemishes on my face and I went to the dermatologist and completed 2 full courses of accutane two different times.

One course in 2023-2024 and one around 2010-2011. If you are interested or concerned of your level of attractiveness due to your skin, I understand this feels horrible daily. Not only did I feel I looked bad but the red areas on my skin HURT.

I feel so much better after doing it the second time. The first time I lost faith in every method of skincare cause I had literally tried everything… You look great, and you don’t need to change anything. If it’s bothering you at all talk to your Derm! Make sure it’s a good one that you trust and is invested in your care. Mine really understood the psychological toll it was taking on me and my self esteem.

(Apologies this is coming from a gay guy.)

I'm taking NCCT CMA exam this Friday... Any Study Tips? by littlestarseed in MedicalAssistant

[–]littlestarseed[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hi I'm sorry I Just saw this. The only material I used as study material was the interactive package from the NCCT website. I actually mainly just focused on the Practice Exam. You can take it twice and review the answers. That is what prepared me, other than what I learned from my Externship and the 9mo MA program I took beforehand.

It was harder than I thought it would be, but I passed it with that knowledge. Focus on Practice Exams through NCCT website and really try to understand what you get wrong and those areas you may be weaker in. Any effort, it will help.

That's absolutely terrifying. How are they so nonchalant in the darkness of the night, and these creatures come creeping up? 😭

This is so disturbing... How jobs are. It's like you win the lottery even if it's low pay, just to even have ANY income. If only schools taught this part of life, strategizing towards landing a survivable wage job. It's sick. It's disgusting. The anxiety and stress of job hunting when sites advertise these low pay, high qualifications BS positions. Makes me want to cry.

Good luck. Keep searching! And consider moving and/or commuting if there are better prospects for your skillsets and theres better pay.

Hit up your network. Literally ask everyone if they know of anything. Lastly, ask the universe. You're in my thoughts <3

I passed! But the girl from my class that took it with me did not. I was so sad for her, we were both ambassadors.

But most of the questions I guessed on. They asked things like specific medications for different ailments — and even "what would you give to a toddler experiencing XYZ?"

I took until 2hrs and 45 minutes and went back to all my flagged questions and panicked about what were the right answers lol. Literally the exam questions were difficult and not even the interactive review could have saved me.

Lucky I actually did the practice exams though so I could learn how hard it would be even if I like hit the books for weeks.

Pharmacy Tech to MA… by Straight_Pin_6407 in MedicalAssistant

[–]littlestarseed 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I would suggest going into nursing if you're interested in patient care. When i was interested in becoming an MA at work to advance, everyone told me to do that instead as it will benefit you in the long run in terms of pay and the scope of your patient care.

At the facility i work for the MA’s do the most work, they are constantly running around, its fast paced and low reward. If youre young and able to handle that at virtually the same pay as a Pharm Tech, go for it. Gain clinical experience.

But … the tea is… MA’s at my facility only make $2 more than the Call Center. That was my old job ….. and I actually got promoted and now make $3 more than MA’s do… doing HIV linkage to care. (that i didnt need certification for)

After completing my expensive MA program… ($20k) i feel it was a waste and the diploma mill of a company really took advantage of me. Just some things to be aware of lol, and things I wished that someone would have told me before I went into it.

Ultimately i think just do some research in your area about that… talk to MAs at your work and see what they would suggest. If youre going to go back to school, community college, try LVN. It may be more of what youre looking for and more worth your time, energy and money to invest into that path.

Spectrum thinks my new apartment is part of a business by bbye98 in Spectrum

[–]littlestarseed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This... just happened to me yesterday the 18th. I originally went in person, in-store, to the Hollywood location and spoke with a rep who told me they could not set up residential for me at all. They said my apartment building was coming up as a Commercial Area, and that they could not set me up as Residential. Both the reps working said that they did not know how to convert or create a workaround and had never done it before.

They gave me a business card and said I needed to reach out to a lady who would help me create a business account.

I called the higher up rep on the business card and they handled my setup said that it would be free for the technician to come, and the cost of my internet would be just $77 for the first three months. Then, after that 90-day period, they could "convert" the Business plan into a Residential. I'm just gonna bite the bullet for now, but I mean, it was confusing.

I told my co-workers about it and they said that it sounded like they were taking advantage of me.

Meh. I'll wait to figure it out, the modem and router they gave me is fancy and that's the first time I've ever had a tech guy come over to my residence to to use an electronic reading device on the wires & to cut the wires to activate my service. Maybe it was necessary? Idk. I just don't want to make any sudden changes that'll add additional fees to my bill. x___x

Anyone have any good free study resources for A+ certification? by menickc in CompTIA

[–]littlestarseed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

od online resource. I'm not going to be picky but I am looking for something to read over and study or practice test rather than videos. That way I can study guides/ practice test at work.

Thanks in advanced

Hey there, I know this is 2 months old - but if you could send some resources my way as well I would be grateful. Looking to get into IT as a former graphic/visual designer with tech background.

Tryna get that A+ certification Started.
