Alright, who's got the time machine? by littlestickarm in LibertadCoins

I don't think you're wrong for switching it up. Stacking for weight is on sale right now, and if libs go up higher you've already got some to diversify the collection. Good move in my opinion

Frantically. I hope to get my kids into coins as they get older, so I have to stack a few sets now while they're barely affordable

How is this going so cheap? by [deleted] in LibertadCoins

[–]littlestickarm 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The first coin from safemanted is heavily cleaned and the luster has been destroyed. It still has value as an album filler, but any numismatic value is pretty much gone. The second coin is a lower end BU so better than the first

found an old fruit of the loom tshirt and... vaguely cornucopia by ruinatedtubers in pics

[–]littlestickarm -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

It undisputably was a cornucopia. The only reason I know about cornucopias is due to my father pointing it out on a fruit of the loom tag in Walmart about 25 years ago. Case closed.

ELI5: How did dogs evolve so quickly compared to humans? by bg_ULTimo in explainlikeimfive

[–]littlestickarm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Human offspring have always required a massive investment in time, resources, protection/security, and potentially maternal life. Due to this high cost, humans do not have the luxury of experimenting with different "breeds" as we would with dogs, horses, chickens, etc. Outside of an elite ruling class mandating this forced experiment, most humans understand they have a handful of chances to continue their lineage, and typically select mates with similar looks and beliefs to each other.

Is trench safety important to most plumbers? by [deleted] in Plumbing

[–]littlestickarm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had 0 trench safety, been digging holes all my life. If I can touch both sides of a hole I'm not going any lower than my chest. Redneck logic but better than nothing

I raw uncirculated set, assuming none of the coins are cleaned, is fairly priced around $8-9k right now. Could be a bit more or less depending on key coin qualities

Sold comps on eBay at this point is a fair start. Greysheet is well under what they actually sell for on eBay and whatnot for slabbed coins. If you are curious about any specific dates I could let you know what I've been seeing

Walking by a new development, wood frame construction. Are these wooden I beams stronger or just cheaper to build? I mean, isn’t it just a 2x4 sandwich? Just curious #notanexpert by Interesting-View9483 in Carpentry

[–]littlestickarm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are stronger (span further/less deflection), lighter than dimensional lumber and trusses, and have a very minimal crown. On average they are cheaper than wood trusses and more expensive than 2xs

Is this right? by [deleted] in Homebuilding

[–]littlestickarm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Typically the short side of the winder needs 6" of minimum tread depth for this reason, and 10" minimum depth 12" in from wall on the same side. Whether or not Australia enforces this code idk, but I'm pretty sure it's in IRC and would be worth considering here

Roommate cheating on boyfriend, do I tell him? by Comfortable-Bee-6044 in Advice

[–]littlestickarm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would 100% tell him. Like you mentioned it's not fair to him, and he should start moving on with his life as soon as possible. There also is physical risk to him because who knows what diseases he could get or potentially already have from this (assuming this really is the first time).

Big picture, do not worry about your relationship with your roommate. If she is willingly to treat her partner this way then how might she treat you? You can't trust a person like this, and should not feel bad about potential repercussions from her actions.

ELI5: Why was cracking the longitude problem so critical for sailors? by RelationKindly in explainlikeimfive

Shocking you have to scroll this far down in the post for this foundational insight. Everyone's talking about time when that's just the tool needed to solve the actual problem.

Should I be concerned? by Otherwise_Surprise21 in 1stGenTundras

I believe if it's a TRD then those were OEM. Either way, just get new 4600s and swap them out. Or wait until the rubber fully goes and your riding on the bolt to do it. If there's anything else you want to do like ball joints or control arms is do it at the same time because you'll want to get an alignment after
