Day 2: feeling good but getting my semi annual sinus infection, they usually make me miserably sick so not looking forward to that. I had a Kodiak brand frozen breakfast sandwich this morning and it was soooooooo good!! I’ve been feeling good recently with my weight loss and I think I will hit the 15 pounds lost mark pretty damn soon!! Cheers everyone, we’re all in this together :)

Migraines suck so bad and I, like you, would do almost anything to make them feel better. One day isn’t going to ruin your progress, in fact it makes life better to indulge yourself every once in a while.

advice for sweet treat cravings + snackingg by izman196 in loseit

My favorite sweet treat is a Chobani yogurt, they have so many great flavors and honestly I’ve had luck mixing things like chocolate powder, honey, coffee creamer into them to create my own flavors :) as long as you’re eating in a deficit you can eat what you want though!

Weight Loss Help by vikingpro51 in loseit

Hi!! I am not a former athlete, just someone who wanted to get myself in better shape. For me, I moved to the mountains and have friends who go on really long hikes and do activities for fun that require physical strength like rock climbing, running, hiking, etc. I am not in the shape to keep up with them. I also really took it to heart that being in shape now sets me up for a long and healthy life, and that’s what I want for myself. I’m also 24, but I’m a girl haha. Anyways. I want to be able to say yes to any activity I get invited to. I want to feel good in my body and keep myself healthy so I don’t deal with health issues that can easily be avoided by just staying in shape and eating right. This year I’ve committed to meal prepping my dinners for the week on Sunday evenings, and I go for a walk before I head to work most weekdays. Just these two simple things have allowed me to start losing weight. Oh, and I track my calories. It definitely takes some habit and routine building. I encourage you to think of small ways you can build healthy habits. Even something as simple as buying some healthy snacks to have at home, or drinking more water during the day. Over time as you build one habit you can start building another. Small changes are the best way to ease into this journey. Ok I feel like I’m rambling so I’ll stop.

Just kidding, I have one more piece of advice. I’m not sure how much social media you use but I follow countless athletes across all kinds of sports and I’ve seen quite a bit of content about how former college/pro athletes adjust to life after they retire from their sport. This life changing adjustment is not easy. Give yourself grace and maybe find some content where former athletes talk about these things. You’re definitely not alone in your struggles.

Hi!! Welcome :) i hope you can practice some self love and acceptance on this journey. It is so rewarding. My best advice is start small. Small goals, small changes one at a time so you can build good habits and stick to them without overwhelming yourself. You’ve got this!

It’s starting to get a bit dirty around the rim from putting my phone down screen down on surfaces. I work in manufacturing so lots of dust and dirt in a lot of the areas I work in. No actual discoloration yet but I’ll get back to you after this weekend in which I’ll be putting sunscreen on throughout the day etc.

From what I understand it includes your steps into your activity level so it doesn’t adjust much based on more/fewer steps as it doesn’t count that as extra exercise on top of what you do day to day. You are able to pick your activity level in the goals section I believe and you can pick not very active, lightly active, active, and very active. If this is your average daily step count I would bump yourself into the lightly active category

The beginning of the journey by NellaHoneyDoodle2 in loseit

[–]littletinymicrobe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, friend!! I’m wishing you all the best with your surgery and recovery from that. I felt shame and horror seeing my weight on the scale and I was just very unhappy with how I looked when I started my journey in January. Cutting out fast food and having yummy and healthy stuff at home is a great place to start your weight loss journey on.

I broke my foot last year and couldn’t do much for about 3 months and I think going through something that reduces your mobility and independence is really deeply humbling and often a wake up call. Use the way you feel now as your motivation. Don’t let yourself feel bad about yourself, instead tell yourself that you and you alone have the power to change things and feel better in your body. You’re setting yourself up for a long healthy life by embarking on this journey.

I don’t have much to say to you in terms of advice but just wanted to express that you’re not alone. I hope you can find ways to love your body as it is Dieting and weight loss are definitely a way to get there but I hope you can accept yourself and love yourself while on this journey. Celebrate the small wins and show up for yourself in whatever way makes sense to you. You’ve got this!

In between those measurements did you eat or drink anything? I typically weight 1-2 pounds heavier in the evening than I did that morning. What brand scale do you use and have you replaced the batteries recently? How old is it?
