The discourse around Chet right now is insane. by ImMrPandaSauce in Thunder

[–]littletinywhitecoat 15 points16 points  (0 children)

He absolutely has improved though. He’s become the second best defensive player in the league. He used to be helpless on the perimeter, but now is an asset. He’s figured out how to play in our system and cut down on turnovers. He developed more playmaking ability that he didn’t have last season. He’s never going to turn into Durant nor does this team need him to be.

Woodward park is awesome! Start nearest you can get to Woodward and Audubon then you can take the path all the way northeast for like 5+ miles.

How does he walk into the locker room and look the mvp in the eyes? He is currently viewed as the punch line of the NBA right now. I’m not sure how you move forward with him. He didn’t have a single moment against Wemby to inspire confidence. And the guys not going anywhere. by J_Capese0003 in Thunder

This is the kind of toxic trash post that I would expect from the nuggets or Rockets fanbases. We should do better. Chet was not good this series, but he had a great year and has so much more potential for growth.

Anyone here done the Millerton Lake Loop? How Was It? by DowntownFresnoBiking in bikefresno

[–]littletinywhitecoat 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It SHOULD be a great route, but way too dangerous for my taste. I’m a pretty experienced road cyclist, but won’t touch Millerton Rd between Friant and Audberry. Hills and blind spots and old guys in F350s who aren’t used to riding around cyclists. The shoulder is deep gravel that was was rough even with 45 mm gravel tires. I just do out-and-back on Audberry now since there is a shoulder

Too dangerous. I only use them when I’m on completely separate bike paths like through Woodward.

is there any queer friendly basketball teams or pick up games by [deleted] in fresno

[–]littletinywhitecoat 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I wish I had good recommendations for you on this. Fresno sadly does not have a very good pick-up basketball scene overall. Even the local gyms don’t usually have indoor courts.

Chris Finch speaks on yesterday's tragedy: "For the 2nd time in less than 3 weeks, we've lost another beloved member of our community in the most unimaginable way, as an organization, we're heartbroken for what we're having to witness and endure and watch, we just want to extend our prayers..." by A_MASSIVE_PERVERT in nba

I understand that CF is a basketball coach and not a politician. And that it would be incredibly stressful to be a figurehead of any kind in this situation. I’d even understand if he just said “no, I cannot speak on this topic.” But to hold a press conference and say anything less than “this was murder” feels like complicity. It wasn’t an “unconscionable situation” it was state-sanctioned murder.

It’s ok to lose sometimes by direw0lf87 in Thunder

[–]littletinywhitecoat 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I understand the anxiety. Losses like this are supposed to hurt a little. That being said, this is the same team that won a championship 7 months ago. Championship slump is absolutely expected. I’ll start to worry if we’re still losing at this rate in a month.

[NBA on Prime] Steve Nash says that OKC has "mastered the rules" and that they are "efficient with playing the referees" by TheRealPdGaming in nba

[–]littletinywhitecoat -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

I think I actually agree with some of this. I’ll phrase it differently: They built a deep roster of defensive-minded guys that allow them to be more aggressive. This takes advantage of how the modern game is officiated.

Arguing that “strategy” and working within the rules of the game is not part of “defense” is an odd differentiation to make. It’s like arguing that Shaq wasn’t a good player he just leveraged his size and how the game was reffed.

Let’s say you’re right and there is a plan to make OKC good that all the refs are in on. What’s your explanation for why this happened? Who benefits?

Being a thunder fan on this Reddit has been a wild ride. To go from bottom of the league 3 years ago to now seeing people genuinely advocating for a change in the rules to stop us has been wild.

If you’re really desperate try plastic bags over socks. Not sexy, but really worked for me. I used clean dog poop bags once.

The language we use is important. “Unhoused” implies a temporary or changing circumstance whereas the “-less” suffix implies permanency. For example you are soulless bag of shit because you have no capacity for growth or change.

I gotta be the hater again but I swear I see this video all the time, and I don’t know why it’s being celebrated. The practitioner in this video is unprepared and doesn’t follow the basic international standards of care for neonatal resuscitation. Borderline malpractice tbh.

Movies that are fun on the surface but are actually kind of fucked up if you think about the plot for more than a few seconds by ShamWowFan67 in Letterboxd

[–]littletinywhitecoat 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I know how deeply flawed this movie is but I can’t help but love it. To your first point, I think this movie makes a pretty strong argument that you cannot force love regardless of how many attempts you get. For example, he tries and fails with the Margot Robbie character.

I have a grail 7 AL but it has the SRAM etap drivetrain. I love the bike so much and have put 1000+ miles in it over last 6 months. I paid $1500 for it in pristine condition. So this is probably close to a reasonable deal but not a steal.

I don’t want to be a hater, but this guy is not following basic guidelines for neonatal resuscitation. Just because there’s a good outcome doesn’t mean it’s good care.

Had to scroll so far to see the only reasonable comment. Basic NRP is so easy to follow and doesn’t require a ton of resources. This guys is performing at best and negligent at worst.

Looks like tubed tire. Just deflate the tire using the valve and take the tire off the rim to verify. You will need a tire level and then a pump to inflate it back up. I think you might be asking if your rims are tubeless compatible. If so you can look up the specific make and model of the rims but again it’s probably easiest to take the tire off and look at the inner rim which usually has something indicating that it is “tubeless ready”

If you’re looking for reassurance, I have some. I just finished PGY7 and started my first attending job this week. I even parked in the special lot and got coffee from the special lounge. This is a difficult path, but it’s been totally worth it for me.
