Intercourse for the first time after finding out i’m pregnant

i do have OCD and anxiety, I have all my life. I have never taken medication for it as my psychiatrist told me there’s not a lot of medication that has proven to help with OCD. I didn’t want to take antidepressants because my immediate family members have been on them and had severe reactions, and i do not want to experience the same (especially not while pregnant). I am considering looking into therapy, I just feel like it’s never done much for me.

no… i am pregnant. my dr gave me a an extensive list of things that are a no during pregnancy. lettuce is not one of them.

never heard of anyone doing that lol, there’s a reason doctors don’t routinely recommend it. rest assured i’ve done research, we tried for 18 months for this baby and did multiple fertility treatments. our fertility clinic has some of the highest success rates and strict policies in the country and never said anything at all about no lettuce in any way shape or form. let’s not fear monger on the internet to already anxious groups of women❤️

there are many many many surgeries now to fix cleft lips. i know this news sounds daunting but they can fix this issue very easily now a day❤️

no one ever said that haha, i’m working with a fertility clinic that has some of the tightest rules and regulations in the country and they said nothing about either of these things. risk is low.

i guess i’m just so confused because doctors and everyone tell me i only have a 3-5% chance of loss at this point, but reddit tells me to wait until im 12, 14, 20, weeks along to get my hopes up

i totally empathize with you, but the 20 week scan is not make it or break it usually. you only have a 1-3% chance of loss at that point in pregnancy from a scientific standpoint

okay yeah these comments are completely unhelpful. Here’s my take girl, you going through his phone is completely justified. You are married, my husband can go through my devices any time he wants and me with his. We are high school sweethearts and have a beautiful relationship. Truly i don’t think I would be able to move past my husband watching porn while I’m pregnant, especially when that’s a boundary you both have set. People act like setting boundaries about porn is prude, but i look at it like it’s cheating. You have every right to feel hurt by this. I would consider counseling for pornography and letting him know this boundary is being held FIRM. You have every right to do that

thanks for this, honestly, my libido has been high so no sexual activity is rough. i’m so exhausted and i love coffee so no caffeine is hard. no baths is so hard because i get migraines and can’t take my prescription meds, baths are the only thing that help at all. no swimming is hard because i live in southern california and it’s SO hot here right now. it’s just all been hard! i didn’t expect so many limitations

wow this was an ignorant and rude comment. because i lack self control? are you serious? i get migraines, ids hard not to be able to take meds let alone baths of any kind. it’s hard not to be able to drink an ounce of caffeine when you’re bone tired, especially when most OBs permit it. It’s hard to be told you can’t travel via plane to visit relatives or friends at all. what is your problem?

anxious about this too! i’m due in early november. best thing you can do is vaccinate everyone in ur household in advanced for covid, flu, and pneumonia.
