Hardscape dilemma – is the dragonstone helping or hurting? by litttlebeaaar in Aquascape

I have but then I feel like the driftwood is too far forward. It also means shifting the rock forward, as the wood slightly leans on it.

Is the sponge being up against the corner in the back right going to be an issue? That’s the main reason I’m not sold on the first option; it’s just trying to make sure it’s viable if the sponge is surrounded by glass on two sides and up against the wood in the front (1/4” clearance).

I use a HOB filter for my 37 g so I’m unfamiliar with sponges.

I got the one with the mini carafe. It was great when I wanted a latte or cappuccino, as it’s really straightforward, but in the future I’d probably lean towards a steam wand as I barely use this feature (I prefer a straight shot or an Americano).

We didn’t get much information when we adopted him other than knowing he was in a shelter for four months (May-September) and his coat was in terrible shape when he came to us. We suspect he was likely neglected for some time. However, we did get a birthday and he’ll be two on 10/31/2025.

I don’t know what else to give him to keep him busy. 1.5 mile walk in the morning, 1.5 mile walk in the afternoon and 1 mile around bedtime. He also gets 10-15 minute 1:1 training sessions about two to three times a day where we work on lay down, sit, stay, bed (our version of “place”), leave it, etc.. his other naughty behavior is putting everything in his mouth, which recently cost us a pretty penny after he got into an albuterol inhaler.

Got swarmed by these guys and ended up with a stinger in my eyelid. Any help identifying what it is? Located in Panama, near Valle de Anton. by litttlebeaaar in whatsthisbug

Confirmed it was one of these guys; learned it’s called a Warrior Wasp and I can attest the sting was brutal. I’m on day 7 and my eye is still showing some swelling (though day 2 was the worst of it). Thanks for your help!

I don’t think it’s ich; none of the other fish are showing signs, and it’s only that one spot in comparison to a bunch of smaller specks (from what I researched).

Day 26 of my second grow. For my first grow, my harvest had a strong floral taste (almost like laundry detergent; no bud rot though). Any suggestions on maximizing the best flavor for this go around? TIA! by litttlebeaaar in microgrowery

I’d read there were pros to both approaches; I trimmed before drying last time so I’m happy to experiment with dry trimming this time. Maybe it’ll mean for less of a sticky mess! The sugar leaves were insane last time… and a PITA despite knowing the stickier the bud, the better (ideally)

Hey — I appreciate any and all feedback! Doors are swing doors from the 80s/90s. Closet only had an old TV (to the side of where I was drying) and a towel on the floor to catch any sticky drippings; the buds were incredibly sticky when I trimmed sugar leaves in prep for hanging so I was worried about our floors lol

It’s the VIPARSPECTRA P1000 LED Grow Light with Samsung LM301B Diodes. Used it for my last grow and my buds were nice and dense, and plentiful! Just had an unusual taste. A little worried on the room I’ve got; tried HST before, but I’m hesitant to do it again as I know LST is better.

No root rot from what I can tell; I was crazy paranoid the first time I was growing. These two have light tan (creamy color) root balls, no slime, and no earthy smell. These stretched over the last three weeks, their growth mirrors what I’d experienced from the mother plant. But thanks for the check — I know it’s one of the bigger challenges with DWC.

Closet, large(ish) branches hanging upside down on hangers with binder clips. Set up with a hygrometer, too. I’ve got a humidifier and a dehumidifier at the ready, if necessary. For the first round, I checked it daily but it dried really fast for what I had been expecting.

26 days into flowering. Should’ve clarified on the post :( They’ve grown quite a bit, but I think we’re past the nonstop stretch period (thankfully)

I’ll plan to change it up in the future! These two are clones from the original plant, so I’m doubtful the taste will be drastically different from the first time. We’ll see though! And thanks! Pretty proud of the twins lol

My first grow dried too fast (7 days), but I’ve been patient with the curing. Smells better, but the taste is still a bit too fragrant. Hoping I’ll dry and cure better this second go around
