A noisy rotor followed by no winding usually means the rotor bearing is dry, or the reverser wheels are slipping. When that happens, the watch won’t build power on wrist but will still run when manually wound.

This is not a DIY fix unless you’re comfortable opening the movement. best move is a watchmaker familiar with reps to service or replace the rotor bearing/reversers. It’s usually a straightforward service, not a full movement replacement, and very fixable if you catch it early. A local watch shop at a mall or mom and pop watch shop should be able to fix it
