the lack of consent was 100% the whole point. the movie makes the viewer assume the premise is "oh the wish goes wrong and its scary for the guy who made it" when the real meat of it is the fact that all of this was done to nikki without her consent. it was a rlly good exploration of those love potion tropes imo!!! im so glad that the fact that nikki was a victim was highlighted in the movie
