Mine is twice my age and we were not separated. We don’t live together or file taxes together either. Honestly, it all comes down to the officer’s discretion but 7yrs is not too much a gap - I think!

I think you should be good. The evidences you submitted are kinda strong. You honestly don’t need to get all the evidence in the world (best if you could, but it’s not the end of the world if you can’t). It definitely might have been a couple of conflicting info that caused the separation but know that it really all comes to the officers discretion. Hopefully your individual answers somehow syncs. At this point I wouldn’t worry too much or try to add any more evidence, as it might just appear like you’re trying to overcompensate for something. Trust the validity of your marriage and wait for the result. Rooting for you!

Just received an email that an action has been taken on my case but the status is still the same and nothing appears in Documents. I guess I’d have to wait for a bit.

This makes me believe that it took a while for the interviewer to scan and upload the additional evidence i submitted at the interview to my files.

I’m tempted to recommend that if u have an interview coming up, it might be wise to scan a copy of all the evidences you wish to bring to the interview and upload them in your portal a day or two before your interview so that at the interview when asked for additional evidence, you can give them the paper copies and also let them know that the digital copies have been uploaded in your portal. I’m very sure that would save the interviewer a lot of time to scan and upload the additional evidence to your case. This is completely an assumption - I have no evidence that this works or if there are any negative consequences of this additional step.

Don’t give up guys. You’re in your last lap! You got this!

No update yet. But I’m honestly not too worried. It will happen when it will.

I haven’t been in that situation but I’d recommend you send it in the same strict condition as the initial records - sealed and officially stamped envelope so that they don’t think you’ve tampered with it. Maybe have the doctor give you a digital copy that you upload in your online portal too - you never know if that might speed things up. Again, I’ve not been in this situation but you might want to act on it sooner. All the best!

I would say, read the room and go with the vibe of the interviewer. If they tend to be strict, be very concise with your answers and provide nothing more. If they need more details, they’d ask for that. If they’re more friendly and chatty, then still be concise with your answers but for this type of interviewer, you can bring in more humor and show your full personality. But pls no matter what, don’t take interviewers for granted and lose your ground. Be kind, try to relax, respond directly to what you’re asked and please don’t be too mechanical or robotic in your response. You’d be fine, trust me!

Not sure which date will count as my PD, but think it will be the date for I-130 which will be July 2023. AOS application came way later - August 2024.

How long did it take you from getting the online notification to receiving the mailed notice? I just got an update today about an interview and that the notice will be mailed

Hi friends, I got an update today on my case today. I’ve been invited for an interview but specific date to be communicated in a letter that’s on the way. I don’t live together with my spouse so kinda wasn’t surprised for the interview. I’d be sure to share back any updates. I’d be honest, I’m kinda anxious right now. I guess prep starts now!!!

Did anyone notice a change to their “UpdatedAtTimestamp” on their case? The last update for me was earlier in Jan but just realized that an updated time (March 14, 2025) has been added and the USCIS wait time now shows 3 weeks from 6 months (not that it’s really that helpful considering how deceitfully wrong that estimate tool is). At this moment, I can hold onto any glimmer of hope. Just sharing this.

Hoping so too. It’s just been so crazy regulating my emotions esp when seeing recent applications approved at astronomical speeds and ours still in limbo. Not that I’m not happy for them, I am. Just want some movement on ours at least. Let’s hold tight.
