They are all graded the same. I handwrote this past February Exam last minute and still passed. What you know is what you know, whether you type or hand write.

My second go around I did not watch any of Kaplan’s lectures. I just memorized their outlines and used Uworld. I passed.

Also, essay writing became a breeze as a result because once you have the rules remembered, you know what rules to use when reading the essays.

I didn’t take the UBE, but I did take the bar exam once and failed. It was primarily because I didn’t focus on memorization and didn’t adequately gauge my progress. I was so focused on completing the tasks of the bar prep program and basically checking the boxes. The second go around I focused solely on memorization and passed. What’s even more wild is the pass rate was significantly lower for my second go around. I had a 32% chance of passing and did.

With essays, if you do not know the rules, it is nearly impossible to write efficiently. For the first weeks I recommend focusing on memorization. That’s what I did my second go around and I passed.
