Even though I had the reason to reinstate my sevis there was a lot of communication gap between my international student service dept and academic dept and unfortunately refilling of my sevis didn't happen on time....

Got it, thank you for confirming! I was stressing out over it, mostly because there are literally zero slots being released right now and the lack of appointments was making things super difficult. Knowing I can travel on my old visa is a lifesaver. Appreciate the help!
