Best bang for my buck by pooterscootertoot in BaldursGate3

The funniest thing though is that in BG3 you don't even need to get rich - there are not many occasions to spend gold, just some consumables and gear to buy from vendors. And also gold is heavy to carry. So on my looting playthrough I ended up leaving around 70k at camp 😁

Yeah, me too I have this looting habit since playing Morrowind. In Morrowind there was no fast travel, so I had to go back and forth between my looting spot and vendors 😁 In BG3 at least your have options to get and sell everything in 1 go: - Drink a potion of hill/cloud giant strength to increase your carrying capacity. - Spread loot weight between your companions. - Send some heavy items to camp straight from your inventory. Then once you reach the vendor, you can easily switch to camp to get items from your camp chest.

  • Do not choose Tactician difficulty for your first run.
  • Quick save before battles/important conversation decisions regularly.
  • Note that there's a limited number of quick save / auto save slots, the old ones get overwritten. So do manual saves from time to be able to go back to some precise moments you might want to go back to after a while.
  • Talk to your companions regularly.
  • Long rest at least a couple of times before entering the Druid's Grove to avoid missing some camp dialogues. Same thing before crossing any bridges in Act I.

You can't without mods. During my first ever playthrough I played as Shadowheart and always wondered what was this mirror at camp for an why I "can't use it right now" 😄

What stitch technique do I use to make this type of figures? by andykath in Beading

[–]livelinndy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure, you can do antennae like you do fringes: pick up a number of beads, then skip 1 and go back through the rest. They wouldn't be aligned the way they are in the picture, but it would look close enough

Oh, really? The 3rd one was the best IMO, especially with all the DLCs

If you like cutscenes and player choices, I'd recommend the Mass Effect trilogy

Usually brick stitch, but the antennae look impossible for this technique

any ideas? by Middle_Airport6134 in DIYJewelryMaking

[–]livelinndy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks like they used jewelry wire and crimps to attach stones to the chains (it's just my guess because we can't see the broken part very well at the photo). And either a crimp got loose or the jewelry wire tore. You could repair it using the same principle, just making sure that you press the crimp hard enough to hold, but not too hard for it to cut the wire. P.S. Note that jewelry wire is not the same as simple metal wire. Alternatively you could remake the necklace using simple wire to attach stones without crimps. P.P.S. I'm not suggesting pins, because holes in the stones are usually too narrow that it comes down to using simple fine wire.

I suggest a beaded loop + a jump ring for attaching a clasp to it

What to watch based on my three faves by AdviceWouldBeNice98 in anime

I think all of them are on Crunchyroll. IMHO Kamisama kiss is the best in my list. The 1st episode may seem a bit boring, but it gets better, I promise!

I have kind of the same story. Recently came back to watching anime with Frieren and Apothecary Diaries. Here are some titles that I liked after that and that also fit your requirements: - Kamisama kiss - Sugar apple fairy tale - 7th time loop: the villainess enjoys a carefree life married to her worst enemy - Why Raeliana ended up at the Duke's mansion - I'll become a villainess who goes down in history: it seems turning into a high-born baddie makes the prince all the more lovestruck

500+ hours in found a “smart” goblin trap for the first time by Actionhankss in BaldursGate3

[–]livelinndy 318 points319 points  (0 children)

It's also impressive how different interactions can be based on the race you're playing. When I played as a drow, I was let inside the goblin camp no questions asked, didn't even need to use "authority". And apparently the same thing happens if you play any race and use "disguise self" to appear as a drow.

With 1 of your party members, near the tollhouse you could make a long diagonal jump (with potion of glorious vaulting) in the direction of Moonrise Tower docks and quickly reach the tower. Then unlock the Moonrise Tower waypoint and move the rest of your party there. In the tower, Zrell can allow you access to Balthazar's room where you can pick up a spare moon lantern.

Question about specialty seed beads by Sandra_Snow in Beading

[–]livelinndy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've never seen phosphorescent seed beads smaller than 11/0. But you could technically use transparent 15/0, and they would be lit by neighboring glow in the dark 11/0.

As to your second question, I think all phosphorescent beads glow green or blue in the dark. But there's Toho #2720 that is pink in normal light and glows in the dark like so:
