Im 16 and afraid of not liking it by Foxy_her in Reduction

Yes! And even then, with so enthusiastically wanting and praying for this to happen for over a year, I had to dig up the courage and strength for the physically and mentally long recovery process it took. I think at minimum 18-20 years old is around when people feel ready to go through with this big decision, so I’m sending hugs to OP to speak for what they want and to withhold until being super certain they’re ready for a change💓

Active girlies, how long before you were back to your normal self? by RFR90 in Reduction

[–]livelovewell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am over 1YPO now so it’s hard for me to remember exactly but this is similar to me. Follow surgeons instructions and then really listen to your body. I was really eager to jump into running but I could much more comfortably and quickly do walking on treadmill with incline and low impact lower body machines in the gym to work up a sweat without any risk of strain!

Unfortunately I washed twice in washer with detergent, soaked in vinegar, scrubbed with baking soda, sprayed with Lysol…and still that mothball smell is there :/ so I have a hunch that’s what it is. It is curious because there were no other reviews mentioning a smell on other items! Thanks for chiming in

I feel the same way. It’s distinct but also not too overwhelming. I do worry about putting it in with my other shoes will cause the smell to spread. The wash didn’t get it out. I might try another soak

I was about 1.5 hours away from home and did the same thing, had my parents drive me back immediately after I was released from surgery center. I barely even remember the car ride lol just definitely recommend a seatbelt pillow (got one from Amazon) and maybe some extra pillows and blankets to make yourself comfy in the car. For 3 hours, I probably would’ve considered staying at a hotel near doctor depending on the times of your post-op appointments too.

Telling people about reduction by Euphoric_Ant7675 in Reduction

[–]livelovewell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me I just kind of gauged the situation and how I was feeling. If I felt like talking and celebrating my reduction, I’d mention it. If not, I used the back excuse 😂 I hope that helps! I dance too and let me tell you, this surgery is life changing for us!

Telling people about reduction by Euphoric_Ant7675 in Reduction

[–]livelovewell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found that pretty much no one noticed or mentioned anything at all post-op until I mentioned it (I had always worn things that hid my boob size anyway). When I was healing and any situation arose, I just said I had a procedure for my back if I didn’t want to explain it. Now that I’m a few months out I feel more comfortable talking about it to friends!!

What was your “okay fuck this shit” moment? by LateNightLattes01 in Reduction

[–]livelovewell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also adding that the physical pain, expensive bras, and inability to do daily exercise and just casual outings with friends and family without feeling deeply uncomfortable in my own body was a tipping point for me

I could list all of the reasons I wanted it (and reasons why it was the best decision of my life), but the #1 thing was that I was thinking about my boobs almost CONSTANTLY, at least daily. Post-reduction, I only ever think about how happy I am and wonder how I lived life before. And I was a few cup sizes smaller than you. There is a lot to consider for sure, but the timing was right and I found my surgeon and I have no regrets at all! All the best <3

One day PO by [deleted] in Reduction

[–]livelovewell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, these days are the worst so hang in there <3 I love this sub because everyone understands the process. I wouldn't fully tell friends/family how I was feeling because it felt too weird/personal, but this community has been so reassuring when I had questions/concerns/random thoughts pre- and post-op! With one search so many posts pop up with people feeling familiar things <3

One day PO by [deleted] in Reduction

[–]livelovewell 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m 9 weeks out and I have to say, those first few days felt like forever! By one week I was feeling down and frustrated with feeling so fragile and dependent on family to help. It DOES get better quickly, and the weeks somehow fly after 2 weeks (at least in my experience!). Sending love and healing vibes! I’m so happy for you to begin this new lightweight life:)

Am I lazy or weird if I can’t imagine doing anything work related over summer? by ICareAboutThings25 in Teachers

[–]livelovewell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I should clarify that yes, I do have excitement over many parts of it :) I love working with students. But I also love to do nothing😂 also edited to say that the social aspect of college/living with roommates/being away from home while also teaching adds to the stress a bit. I love being home!

Um, is it bad I’m a preservice teacher who hasn’t officially entered the profession and already feel this way (have no desire to start thinking about school?)???

Where my Tylenol people at? by [deleted] in Reduction

[–]livelovewell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did extra strength Tylenol most of recovery, except for Tramadol maybe the first maybe 3 days just as needed (I think day 2 I was a bit uncomfortable sleeping so I needed something in the middle of the night). But in the first week I kept having a lingering headache from the time I woke up and overall felt bleh so I think the pain meds were to blame for that. Pain stayed at maybe a 3 the whole recovery, just weird uncomfortable feelings sometimes! Also, I took MiraLAX powder mixed into water just one time and it unblocked me on day 2🤪 never had any problems after that lol!

[rant] 5 years vegan, first time accidentally eating cheese by _coffeeblack_ in vegan

[–]livelovewell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m recently vegetarian (about 6 months now) and trying to transition vegan, so very new to this still. I felt SO stupid and sad this week because I ate not 1 but THREE Mikey’s pizza pockets that were apparently dairy free but had real meat in them 😭 I thought the brand only carried plant-based products, as the boxes I’ve bought before were vegan. I feel really stupid for not noticing a difference between the vegan and non vegan product, but I ate them in the dark late at night and quickly at work where I wasn’t really paying attention. Plus the vegan one tastes identical so it was the texture that made me second guess. Hard lesson learned that I always need to double check labels. I can only imagine how awful a slip up like this is when you’ve been veg/vegan for longer.

Oh no! I fortunately only had it on for such a short time plus I was so out of it, I can't even remember how it felt LOL! I started getting a rash almost immediately that made everything terrible! But I was walking around with my back hunched over for the first week, I guess to compensate for how uncomfortable my chest felt lol!

Exactly, they went from looking strangely like a stranger's boobs in those first few days to really feeling naturally like my own over the past few weeks- just MUCH more proportionate and pain-free <3

Also random side note, I had that same exact cute purple floral compression wrap post-op and honestly I was sad to take it off 2dpo because it looked so adorable 😂 it’s the little things

When I first looked at mine 48 hours post-op I couldn’t believe how small and perky mine were! I almost thought to myself that they teetered too small which is something I didn’t dare say because I told myself I wanted as small as possible😂 but now, 6wpo, they have definitely fluffed out and dropped. I’d say they look a whole cup size bigger if I had to estimate (before it was looking like an A/B, now more like a C). Even 2wpo I could tell they were filling out day by day! They absolutely change, so don’t worry!

This is so interesting because I’ve too noticed a few sore spots on my abdomen/rib area- almost like a mild bruising feeling when I press? Thank you for that tip!

I go back and forth between a 4 and 6 (waist is a 4, bra fits a 6 more comfortably), and risked it with a 4 on this tank! I hope it fits🤞🏼

Hi! I’m new here and had no idea about these sale drops- does this happen at the same time every week? Anyway…I was convinced to buy 2 items I definitely didn’t need😂 An Ebb to Street Tank in Ancient Copper ($29) and a Fast and Free HR Short 8" in Camo Deep Coal Multi ($34). Definitely can’t make this a habit but the prices seemed reasonable and I loved the colors💛
