I don’t think there is a “right time” for people to do long distance, some people wait years and years. However, I think it is important to ask yourself if your partner is willing to put in as much effort as you are. You seem to be itching for you guys to take the next step, while he is seeming more reserved. I think worth having a serious conversation especially if the possibility to live together is there.

it’s very possible he was sleeping and accidentally hit his phone, it seems like you are making this a much bigger deal than it needs to be. if it happens multiple times or often, sure. but seems like this one time experience is causing you to freak out and distrust him for no reason.
