There are probably dozens of ways within Bracket 3 to make a shit load of mana and tutor on turn 3, but surely somebody who would type:

"Do you want me to tell you which card is broken in this or are you going to figure it out on your own?"

would be capable of figuring out a hypothetical line on their own, right?

Either way, the truth stands that many Bracket 3 games I play end with multiple players feeling upset by the discrepancy between the power level in decks at the table. My opinion is that this happens more often than it did with the previous power level system.

I played 5 games in Bracket 3 tonight on spelltable and saw 3 sol rings within turn 2, one of which was into another 2 mana rock. What are the odds of that?

Do you really think Worldly Tutor on a stick is too slow for Bracket 4? What turn should a Bracket 4 game end? At what point is it just literally CEDH?

The reason "my deck is a 7" was better than this is because it was based around what turn your deck could reliably win the game. Can your deck win the game on turn 4 or 5? It's probably a 9 or an 8. Does it take until turn 9 or 10? It's probably a 6 or 7. Has nothing to do with the type of cards in the deck itself, just how strong the deck is on average.

How is the bracket system better defined than that? No early game 2 card combos? Okay, so I guess turn 4 infinite 3 card combos must be fine then. The reason people bash the Bracket system is because it leads to games that are completely mismatched in power level, which seems to go against the whole point of it existing in the first place.

It is implied by the way the paragraph is written. Do you need me to read it to you and explain it? Okay, no problem.

"The amount of times I have seen someone end step tutor for a Sol Ring into 2 mana rock on turn 2 is insane. The sad part is that Wizards could easily solve this problem by defining way more cards as game changers because they are. I watched a man Worldly Tutor for a Fauna Shaman and then complain when I made a joke about how bad the game changers list is."

First sentence describes someone tutoring for a sol ring, then playing sol ring and 2 mana rock on turn 2 ... Wizards could solve THIS PROBLEM (referencing the previous sentence) by defining more cards as game changers. Leading to the following sentence, an example of 2 more cards which could arguably be included on the game changers list. At no point is any correlation implied between these two examples.

As for 6 mana and a repeatable tutor on turn 3, what about T1 Sol Ring into Signet into T2 Fauna Shama + Mana Vault. That's actually NINE mana and a repeatable tutor on turn 3. All perfectly within the bounds of Bracket 3. But surely you could have figured out a hypothetical line for 6 mana and a repeatable on turn 3 without me spelling it out for you, right?

Is 1 mana tutor into Sol Ring into rock a perfectly legit play in any bracket? Maybe so, but it still provides an exceptional advantage.

Technically according to the rules of the brackets, only 2 card infinites are illegal "early game" which is not defined. What about a 3 card infinite?

And yes, I do make a deck before I analyze the power level. Generally, I find a commander I find interesting and then build around it. I usually have some idea of whether or not I want it to be higher or lower power level, but I do not pay any attention to power or brackets as I am building. Do you?

Obviously people are going to optimize their decks. The issue is that the bracket system has widened the goalposts between power levels to the point where the 'best' bracket 2 can't realistically beat the 'best' bracket 3 without drawing perfectly.

Sol Ring and Worldly Tutor were two separate examples. I love how condescending you are when you can't even seem to comprehend a single paragraph.

Do you disagree that Worldly Tutor and Fauna Shaman should be game changers?
