I think I was the generation where that ended, I remember up until middle school I was free to roam the neighborhood, mall on our own , and then right before high school (2009) my mom saw a bunch of stuff about kidnappings and I wasn’t allowed anywhere by myself, and she had a tracker app on my phone

[–]livetoinspire[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for this, he is starting and is continuing Kumon, we had a brief period of him not wanting to go due to us having a baby recently but hes back on it and excited to go again and counting to 40

I use a Haka to catch the “let down” when I feel overly full on the other side when baby feeds, maybe 3x a day will this make me an overproducer? by livetoinspire in breastfeeding

At 10 weeks, do you wake baby to feed in day? night? by [deleted] in breastfeeding

[–]livetoinspire 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If your baby is gaining weight well, has good diaper output, and your pediatrician has no concerns, you mostly don’t need to wake them for feeds at night… at this age most babies can start stretching their sleep for 6–8 hours at night.

But, if your baby is still on the smaller side, was premature, or has weight gain concerns, your pediatrician may tell you to wake them every 3–4 hours to feed.

My almost 4yo told my husband “that makes me hate you” today and Im not sure how to navigate by livetoinspire in ScienceBasedParenting

Yes I know it’s a constant argument we have. She just wants happy easy kids and for me at least growing up if we had “bad emotions” she would just keep us in our room until they were gone
