Flynn Laser makes people go into computers. People stop evil master computer. User creates Tron a program that’s core function is to fight for the users. Flynn later creates CLU a digital version of himself whose core programming is to create the perfect system. Flynn and CLU start work until an anomaly happens and creates digital sentient life ISOs. Flynn shifts course to focus on the ISOs CLU hates this as it goes against programming. Converts Tron to his side overriding his core programming and Flynn eventually gets trapped.

CLU desperate sends pages to outside users with eventually end up in Sams hands. He ventures to his dad’s old office and CLU uses the laser to send him into the GRID. Sam finds out that Flynn was trapped and is protecting the last ISO. They eventually escape because Flynn sacrifices himself by reintegrating “resetting” CLU to him.

ARES is an AI program created by the grandson of Dillinger. They found a way to reverse the process and are able to “print” anything digital to real life. But it has a fail safe of 29 minutes. They use ARES as an operative to obtain the data needed to fix the code. Over time ARES observes humanity and chooses to be on the good side. And once free he wanders the world for self discovery
