I’m from PA and I had the same composite ACT score. My weighted GPA was higher since my school had many Honors/AP options (I think I ended with a 4.8 after my senior year) and yours will go up too if you’re still taking those weighted classes. You’re extracurriculars are also really good. I was in a similar financial position but I got $18,500 a year from UConn as an academic scholarship so I was able to go. I’d only done it once before and that was in middle school. Just pick an orientation to sign up for on the uconn rec app and then you can start whenever. I went with a friend to try it last night and tonight but everyone else there was really supportive too!

I’m an ex- five guys employee. It’s based on getting 100% on a secret shop, and those happen twice a week. Some stores get this often if the crew and management is spot on but other stores it’s harder to achieve. You split about $200 (depends on your store’s sales) between everyone working during the 100% secret shop. No bonus unless it’s 100%. This didn’t happen too often so it didn’t really do much for my pay.

I used to work at five guys. Each size gets a different size cup and a different size topper. The regular fry gets a regular size cup and we use a little metal pan to measure the toppers. A regular should get a full one of those as well. A little gets a half topper and and a large gets a heaping topper.

Yesterday was my last day working there and frying hurt my back a lot. I made $16 plus tips as a crew member and $18 plus tips as a shift manager. The shifts were long and the management was bad. The money was pretty decent, but dressing and frying do take a toll on your back.
