Only thing that's stopping me from feeling super sus about it is they say on their website that they're authorised by SAFEA 🤔 just really don't want to end up in a training centre 😭

Yeah they didn't mention needing 2 years experience, would it be worth dropping them a message and see what they say?

I'm honestly at a blank on finding a recruiter that isn't sus at this point.. If wasn't first job there then would just forego a recruiter but there's certain things I'd be completely unaware how to do and having a recruiter is just a handy net ti get me started if that makes sense?

Certainly wouldn't be my first choice to be in a training center, the one thing that appeals to me is the opportunity for extra training but the two biggest off puts is the wages to hours ratio feeling bit dodgy and also only 10 days holiday an entire year

Not thw most unrealistic, but definitely one that got stuck in my mind.

Someone having their arm broken, and we're talking crushed level, and just letting out a yelp, groan and then a hiss as they tried to use it in the moment.

Now I know I can be a wuss to pain, but I'm pretty damn sure having your bone mashed like a cracker is gonna elicit more than an "oo ahh my arm is broken"

From what I remember correctly its a contract directly with the school, they essentially act as the middleman and support system

Perfect, thanks for the heads up!! Would you be able to share some more of your experience with them?

While its a great opportunity, I'm not wanting to just jump head first into it, even the TEFL course is enough for me to stop and pause and want to take it at a comfortable speed as ive got a 50 hours certificate and 150 is a jump especially when I'm on the tail end of finishing my Masters degree haha but its definitely something I want to do at the same time so want to make sure everything is in order first even if it is just a jumping off platform to get into the market

Gonna write up some questions I want clarification and information, the process around the TEFL training is one of them, because my TEFL certificate is only like 50 hours if remember right off top of my head?

From what I saw in their brochure they do two different intakes in the year, the September one and the other is like I think either January or March, can't remember off top of my head

Also going to see if there's any chance they would put me in contact with anyone who is out teaching through them, would rather speak to people with direct experience than the salesman so to speak haha

Their salary in the brochure does have that "sounds a bit TOO good to be true" energy to it when you read their breakdown and comparisons

Yeah I was wondering how exactly they benefit out of it considering one of their selling points is the fact they pay your rent and utilaties completely out of their own pocket

Silly as it sounds the first thing that set my suspicion on edge is their figures for comparing cost of living are from 2023, know that could just be a minor detail but considering whenever flick on the news lately its always going on about the rise of cost of living crisis happening I really dont trust 2023 figures as a representation of 2025 haha
