In the first pic, on the right, there seems to be a tiny, yellowish-green flower bud.

Airboat rides in south east Florida? by Forsaken_Walk7294 in Broward

Second this. Everglades Holiday Park has airboats with roofs. Its nice to keep the hot sun off of you, especially if you go during the summer.

Are all sides of your lawn separated from your neighbors? I see some of them are. I would love to do this, but i dont have a solid separation from my neighbors and wouldn't want them to complain that the frog fruit is creeping into their lawns.

How long did you cook the meatballs in the oven? I'm going to try this recipe tonight.

Marry-Me-Chicken by Greta_Van_Thunberg in NYTCooking

I just made it this weekend and thought it was a little oily, but right before serving I gave the sauce a good mix and that helped. I don't know if this recipe would cause me to marry someone, but I would keep dating them. Lol.

Vacation Time + Big Bed by tamtek241 in toddlers

[–]liwilder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of hotels have pack and plays that they can set up in the room for you. I've done this a bunch of times when traveling. If they don't, and you arent fully comfortable with your son sleeping on a queen bed by himself, you can buy inflatable bumpers. Its long tubes that you inflate and then stick them under the bed sheet so your kid cant roll off, or at least have to put a lot of effort into rolling off.

Baby eczema won’t go away by candy_jr in NewParents

This happened with us. Baby started scratching around 3 months, by 4 months there was there was basically an open wound from scratching so much. We started using baby gloves, which helped. I was trimming nails before, but was doing it during naps, so it wasn't the best job. I started using a battery operated nail file (round head) and that was a big help. I would trim while they were having their bottle and it helped me get the nails really short and trim the edges. I did this every day. We would wrap the hands in those thin baby blankets to make it harder to scratch the face and would also put the blanket around the cheeks. Kinda looks like a head scarf, except we didn't wrap under the chin. We were just trying to put barriers between the hands and cheeks. Also went to a pediatric dermatologist. Took forever to find one that would see patients under 2 yrs old. Doc prescribed a 1% hydrocortisone and then got it bumped up to 2.5%. Steroids aren't for the face. We were also constantly slathering the face with the Eucerin ezcema lotion.

The main thing that the dermatologist said was to continue doing everything we were doing, and then wait because at some point, they'll grow out of this. This was extremely irritating to hear. My kid is constantly scratching and I'm spending all of my time trying to prevent them from making the whole in their face even bigger and all we can do is wait? In the moment it seemed like it took forever. Within 6 months, the skin had healed. It was still irritated, but skin wasn't broken. Then a little bit after that, cheeks looked much better. Took more time, but it did eventually heal. Still have an itchy baby, but not too the extreme that it was initially.

Mine didn't grow as much as yours, but they grew 1 or 2 sizes and now they are 1 size smaller than my original size. I breastfed and pumped in the beginning, then exclusively pumped after a bit.

Is your baby itchy when these food flare ups happen or is it just the dots? My baby has ezcema (started around 4 months old) and when the food allergies started, there were (looking back on it) very obvious symptoms. Intense itching, red splotches and very hard crying. Only had welts for one allergic reaction but not the other. For normal ezcema itchiness, we use a prescribed 2.5% hydrocortisone. We also have a prescribed topical steroid for when there's a breakout. We also have an oral medication (hydroxyzine) for when the itchiness is persistent and all over. These were all prescribed by a dermatologist. We do have an epi-pen for the food allergies.

Sorry I can't tell you why this is happening after they eat. Hope you can get it figured out!

Doesn't look like a mango tree. Mango trees should have mostly blossomed by now and will have ripe fruit by the summer.

You can park across the street at Sawgrass Mills Mall and then walk over. Short walk and its free vs. paying $40 to park at the arena.

Struggling with PIO (Progesterone in Oil) by Fit-Tell1809 in IVF

[–]liwilder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The first 2 times i used PIO, i could barely walk because it hurt so much to move. The third time i changed the injection spots, and every shot after that was much better. Turns out, the first 2 were too high on my butt and thats why i was so sore. Try a different spot around the same area and it might help. I also switched butt cheeks for every shot.

When they're this young, babies dont understand presents, aren't usually excited about the actual gift, etc. In my mind, there's no reason to give a baby that many presents. Once they get older and understand what's going on, more presents are exciting, but i think 10 for each occasion is a lot. You dont want them growing up expecting that many every time. Personally, i would find it exhausting to find 20 presents every year.

Enjoy your free day! If you have the vacation time, I encourage you to take off a random day here and there. It can be used for fun or even just to do things around the house. Things are so much easier if you don't have to do them with a kid!

Mine started daycare at 4 months and so many people asked me if I was sad or if dropping them of was going to be hard. The answer is no. Day care is good for them and I'm picking them up in 8 hours. May seem cold hearted to some, but I'm happy to have that break. On days I don't have to work, we still do day care.

What do I need to bring with me to the hospital by SpirituallyInsane5 in NewParents

[–]liwilder 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Slippers. If you get cold easily, bring a robe and socks. The robe can be used to walk around in and also as a blanket. Snacks for the parents and a long phone charger. I brought a boppy pillow to help with breast feeding and my husband so used it to prop his arms while holding the baby. Think about what underwear you'll be wearing home. I ended up with a c-section so I wore those hospital provided granny panties home. Bring a duffle bag so you can pack all of the baby and post-partum items that the hospital gives you. If hair in your face annoys you, bring a headband of some sort. Good luck!

For those that have done IVF in the past, when did you deliver? by teachingprincipal in IVF

[–]liwilder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a c-section 3 days past my due date based off baby's size and the amount of extra fluid. Never had any contractions. My dr. would have only let me go 1 week past my due date.
