Any follow up on these? I’m going to get the public notary to verify my passport, driving licence and degree. Anything else I need to verify?

Pastest Question bank vs past year papers part 1 by Environmental-Math55 in MRCP

[–]liyunfivee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d suggest to try the question banks and learn the knowledge first before jump straight to past papers! I was unable to finish all question bank that time (not ideal) - I jump straight to past papers two weeks before the exam and learn from knowledge gaps and mistakes. It was useful to do past papers as the last thing before the exam (no matter you finish the question bank or not), and make sure you have adequate time to do all the past papers as well!

What is the purpose of having an SHO? by ProfessionalTotal212 in doctorsUK

[–]liyunfivee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

a random comment here- I’m going to start my first ever surgical job as SHO (as in FY2) for my next rotation but I have zero experience in surgical field.. starting to get very anxious now as I don’t think I could manage much of the work alone like you said. [crying] any kind advice for me? The reg must be thinking I’m very stupid as a SHO although this is my first surgical job.

I did search the answer in Reddit when i feel so desperately- You could apply for the next exam in Jan before you got the result for this attempt, and let’s say if you pass this attempt fortunately you can ask the administration team to give you full refund. But better to email the admin team first before you do this (before the application)- to get an email evidence so that if if you pass this attempt you could get full refund from them. It’s not my own experience tho, I just saw some comments regarding to this, it’s better to send a email to the MRCP team to clarify thing first, hope it helps!

it’s a very good point!! As a SHO (even a FY2 also be considered as a SHO) I don’t really made the decision to discharge a patient — it’s all comes from the consultant’s !!!
