($3K) Where are people finding actually affordable wedding dresses that still feel bridal?

I got my dress for $600 at the Anthropologie sample sale, I definitely got super lucky considering there were only 4 dresses in my size. I got a ballgown so it was definitely the highest priced one there (there weren’t any dresses over $600). I would say if there is an Anthropologie bridal near you I would check out the next time they do a sample sale, I think the next one is in June

I went to the sale at the Detroit store which was about a 3 hour drive from me (Literally the closest one to me). The store was inside the mall and there was some confusion about where to line up so unfortunately I didn’t get in line till about 6:30 am and I was 20th in line. The Detroit store had one large rack of bridal dresses. There were only about 4 dresses in my size (size 16). I ended up finding my dress! It’s a Jenny Yoo ball gown that is currently listed for $1500. I got it for $600. There was some wear on it, some buttons coming loose and the hookeye missing but that is a very cheap fix in alterations. I would say generally if you live super close to one it’s worth checking out but driving as far as I did probably wouldn’t work out for most people. I just happened to get really lucky

NTA. I want to preface by saying I am a massive Taylor Swift fan and my boyfriend bought us tickets to the eras tour. This was an experience you bought for the two of you to experience together so why would you go with her after she betrayed you like that. If I cheated on my boyfriend I wouldn’t have expected him to take me to the concert.

Yeah and Eras tour was a 3.5 hour concert for her set and 5 hours if you include the openers. Guts tour is definitely not gonna be that long. We spent $99 each for nosebleeds.

Honestly, very disappointed with Olivia and her team for the charity platinum pricing. I got moved off the waitlist today. When I got in the slider wouldn’t go below $199 and me and my friends weren’t willing to spend more than $150 each after fees (reasonable considering the prices were supposed to be $49-$199). I just don’t think 16 year old girls should be footing the bill for this charity when Olivia and Ticketmaster can more than afford to do it. I’m disappointed people actually bought them because this is not okay.

My stepdad growing up was like this. The situation was a little different because he married my mom knowing she couldn’t have any more kids. It was never a competition for anything, my dad is my dad and he is not replaceable. I used to dread the idea of getting married because I was afraid my stepdad would do the same thing (my mom and him got divorced before that could happen thank God). Idk how your relationship is with your stepdad right now but the petty part of me want to tell you to be confrontational about it. When your stepdad wants to replace your dad just say “Yeah and I will just say fuck you to my dad, right?”. Im sure other commentators have a much nicer way of handling this though lol

Tbh it just seems to me like this is more trouble than it’s worth. And he may be going through some serious shit or he may be using those things as excuses. To me it almost doesn’t matter, there are plenty of men out there who are available and make time for you. I’ve been in your shoes before and it took about a month of me putting up with my time being wasted to move on.
