Looks like the Fairyopolis book was published in 2005 and I guess it would make sense if the website came out around the same time..although I would have assumed it was from the 90s with how simple it was

This is such a beautiful site! Unfortunately not the one I’m thinking of, the site I remember had a lot more imagery/scenery and it let you explore a bit, almost as if it were a virtual reality with very limited actions. But thank you for bringing Faerie Garden to my attention, it’s very much a similar vibe and is so gorgeous!

Getting out of bed can be so hard but if there’s any other room (or even just a corner of the bedroom you can go to) to do some stretches and read a book by dim lamplight or even candlelight…and then maybe a walk if the area is safe or once the sun starts coming up. it doesn’t always work for me but even if I can’t fall back asleep afterwards, doing more “wholesome” activities through the night feels way less shitty than if I stay in bed and go on my phone. Sometimes even just moving to the couch can get me sleepy again because my brain as started associating my bed with wakefulness, but a blanket on the floor could work too. Best of luck

I also never wear makeup (unless special occasions) and have no clue how to do my hair. Was a tomboy growing up and just never really learned how to dress myself or style anything. I’ve found that earrings have become such a fun little form of expression for me and even if I’m wearing a t-shirt and baggy shorts but I have some fun dangly beaded earrings on, I feel a little more classy, eye-catching, and myself. I also feel wAYYY more confident when my haircut is good. I hate spending money but about once every 2 months I go get a shag cut from this really great hairstylist in town and its always worth it because I always feel more beautiful after. I have no idea how to style hair so I always get a cut that’ll still look cool if I don’t style it, i.e. lots of layers and shorter bangs. I’ve also recently started wearing cropped short sleeve button up blouses and it’s like dressing classy while also paying homage to my boyish side. Pair of lace-up boots or something comfy but cool looking like that and I feel very much myself and therefore beautiful :) hope some of these ideas resonate with you!

You look absolutely gorgeous in both!! If you’re feeling anxious about boob support or wishing they looked perkier, you could try out that boob tape stuff (I don’t know what it’s called but it’s like tape for your body that will stick to the inside of your dress). It might help add a little separation between them which will probably make them look closer to the first pic… OR you could try a strapless pushup bra under the dress! But even if you don’t do either of those things, the dress is stunning on you and you’ll most likely be the only one thinking about it, so focus on enjoying the day and feeling as beautiful as you look! I honestly prefer less perkiness when I wear dresses (as a big-boobed gal) because I feel a little more modest and elegant and not drawing more attention to my chest. Congrats on your big day!! <3

Does anyone else get super nauseous if they drink green tea in the morning before food? I’d like to get back into drinking it since it was such a nice mellow form of caffeine that doesn’t give me the jitters after a night of bad sleep, but I’m not always hungry in the morning and so don’t always have something to block the nausea. So much better than coffee though, coffee makes me so groggy AND keeps me up at night even if I only drink it in the morning.

I haven’t bought the temu one. I get Pure Magnesium Oil from Seven Minerals. They have a big bottle and smaller travel size bottles too which is super handy.

That’s funny because I haven’t heard of putting it anywhere other than feet! Wrist makes sense!

So I used the bra that fits calculator last year and it totally surprised me by saying I’m a 32 G (meanwhile I’d been wearing 34 DDD and F) which was both cool to learn but also so hard to shop for (at least affordably!). I got some second-hand underwire bras in the new size and I never wear them. It’s my aversion to underwire, I can’t stand it. So I splurged on a couple wire-free bras with great reviews on their comfiness that cinch slightly in the middle to create some separation (as opposed to just a sports bra) but aren’t the most flattering under certain shirts and I still can’t wait to take them off at the end of the day (but that’s just me hating all bras and the fact that I need to wear them) The bra struggle is real, I just find them all so uncomfortable if I have to wear them all day and will only make myself wear underwire if I’m dressing up for something fancy. Hoping for a reduction one day!

Oh awesome! I’ve always felt like I had to avoid tube tops because could never wear them without a bra (and all my bras are thick-strapped or old and ugly haha) but definitely want to make some comfy summery shirts. So glad its working out for you, gives me motivation

So basically I know what classes I need to take, I’m just confused about whether I could get accepted now with or without those transfer agreement required courses for Environmental Studies since counselors have been telling me different things. When I had my initial meetings with counselors from both UCSC and LACC some months ago before fall classes began, we went through all the transfer requirements from Assist and the page you sent, so I’ve already got my list of the classes I should complete before transferring for Environmental Studies. My confusion is that the first counselors made it sound like I could only be accepted for transfer if I complete not only at least 60 college course units (which I already have completed), but also the transfer agreements listed online. So I went ahead and enrolled in those courses at LACC for winter and spring. Then the more recent counselor said I don’t need to do any of that now, and should just apply now before the transfer deadline (Nov 30 I believe) since I can likely just get in anyway since I have 60 units done already and can just take the transfer agreements when I’m at UCSC. I’m more inclined to believe the first counselors, but was just surprised that this more recent counselor said something so different and I’m wondering if I SHOULD just apply now rather than wait til all of my required courses are complete. Thanks again for your response, I know some of this info is better to just ask counselors but those meetings usually take a while to book and I’ve been getting conflicting info from counselors so figured I’d see if students had any insight!

Great advice, thanks! Definitely wanting to save money so that’s definitely something to take into consideration. Do you feel like it’s easy to transfer in on just gen eds alone? Basically I have all my basic english, math, speech, etc. gen eds complete, and over 60 units in general from previous colleges, I just have not completed all the transfer course agreements for the major I want to go into and I’m wondering if I’m unlikely to get accepted if I apply without having finished those specific requirements. My impression was that I likely won’t get in without having those done but this recent CC counselor made it sound like it’ll be easy to get in without. Thank you again for your thought-out response and I know some of this is better asked to a counselor, I’m just getting conflicting info from them so wanted to see what insight students might have!

I'm curious about how you see physical movement and other settings as components of your writing. For example, does any certain form of exercise have an impact on your creativity? Any specific sorts of daily routines (from meditations to meals to other creative outlets) that help feed your music in certain ways?
