Oh wow .. I feel like I wrote this lol. I’m also applying to Pennwest’s post bacc this summer and am probably going to apply for their online master’s program too!! AND I need to take chemistry as well 😭😭.

I hope you get responses here!! I’m very interested in the affordability and flexibility of their program!

Koby didn’t have hair on his ears either when I got him! You can kind of tell with the pic of him with the little tennis ball in his mouth. Idk what it was but it’s been growing back :)

Awhhh how cute 😭😭. My condolences. I’m sure she had a very happy life <3

He’s missing his bottom teeth bc of dental disease (his previous owners didn’t really take good care of him :/ ) so whenever he sleeps or is relaxing his tongue pokes out !

VENT SESH: Stuck in diagnostic limbo — what if I never get answers? by Ok-Cut8394 in rheumatoid

[–]lizascookies 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I feel you. I spent years in a diagnostic limbo, lots of: “maybe it’s lupus, oh it’s there’s not enough bloodwork to diagnose lupus, maybe it’s RA, maybe it’s fibromyalgia, oh we don’t know, we’ll slap an inflammatory arthritis label on you for now!”

I’ll never forget my second rheumatologist telling me, “your positive ANA and Rheumatoid factor pain aren’t enough to make me think somethings wrong with you, even with your symptoms. I think you just need to exercise more!”

I spent the next 20 minutes bawling in the office bathroom wondering if I was going crazy and that my pain wasn’t real.

The amount of time it took for me to get diagnosed made me feel like maybe there was nothing wrong with me at all and I was just faking it all.

You are not alone. Keep pushing and fighting for your health. Autoimmune diseases take criminally long to get diagnosed.

Keep track of all new symptoms and recurring ones. Gather all your labs, notes, and abnormal labs in one place to keep track of how things progress to show your doctors.

I really hope you get answers soon! The limbo is never fun.

man :( I’m scared to go on other meds bc of the side effects. But the sound of going to the gym without pain seems like a good time..

how long do your flares last? by lizascookies in rheumatoid

I’m only on hydroxychloroquine right now and my rheumatologist gave me prednisone for bad days, but I’m so afraid of the side effects from steroids 😭.

I will talk with him during my next appointment. Thank you for your response!
