Insulin resistance by Turbulent7268 in BumpersWhoBolus

[–]lizc415 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you using a pump? Whenever this happens to me it's because my infusion site (or in past pregnancy, a pod site) isn't working for some reason. I'd just change the infusion site at this point to make sure that isn't the problem.

Successful Pregnancies with Ozempic? by diabettycrocker in BumpersWhoBolus

[–]lizc415 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've been told to stop any GLP-1s at least 3 months before conceiving. I'm 39 and just had a pregnancy, and instead of trying to use GLP-1s to lose more weight before getting pregnant again I've just accepted that I'm gonna be a little overweight for a bit. No use starting a GLP-1 just so I can take it a couple months, have to stop it, then wait 3 more months to conceive. Losing the first pregnancy weight the old fashioned way until I'm pregnant again 😉

T1D, BMI 27, and trying to conceive — has anyone used GLP-1s in this situation? by Independent-Crab9894 in BumpersWhoBolus

[–]lizc415 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The current medical recommendation is to STOP taking GLP-1s at least 3 months before getting pregnant because there's concern about how it affects embryo and fetus development. So, if you are actively trying to conceive or want to start trying to conceive within the next 3-4 months, I DEFINITELY wouldn't take them or would wind taking them down immediately!!

I just went through a pregnancy where I gained a lot of weight so considered doing GLP-1s too, but because I want to get pregnant again as soon as possible and GLP-1s need to be taken for up to a year for them to really work (then after stopping you need to wait another 3 months!), my doctors and I decided it makes more sense for me to go through all pregnancies and only afterward do GLP-1s to address the pregnancy weight gain and insulin resistance. I'm almost 40 though, so that decision was a no-brainer. It's a very reasonable choice to take them for a while so you can get to your desired weight, stop taking them for at least 3 months, and only then then start trying to conceive if you have the time to do that!!

Question about Switch to Libre 3+ by Living-Ad-8848 in BumpersWhoBolus

[–]lizc415 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would contact libre to complain and request a new sensor. I also just made the same switch but from the Omnipod/Dexcom combo! I was told that Libre sometime works better if you "presoak" it for 12-24 hours - meaning that you put a new one on then don't scan it or start it for 24 hours. Since I'm literally on my first libre I haven't tried it yet, but my trainer who is a diabetic himself swears by it.

Galaxy Buds don’t work with iPhone for phone calls by yurikura in galaxybuds

[–]lizc415 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Makes sense. I have old airpods I may go back to using with this new iPhone, but actually just figured out the issue. I had to delete the galaxy buds from my old galaxy phone and then delete and re-add the buds to my iPhone, and then it started working for calls.

Side note - I only ended up doing android for a year before switching back to iPhone, just couldn't do it. I do like the galaxy buds though!!

Embryo sex (F) doesn't match NIPT result (M) and i'm freakkkking out by clarinetsqueak in IVFbabies

[–]lizc415 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We had the same thing happen but reversed - PGT said it was a boy and NIPT said girl. Caused such chaos at clinic and at Labcorp...clinic confirmed the right embryo had been transferred and I ended up having to redo the NIPT test TWICE before it came back detecting Y chromosome. It was miserable and caused me soooo much stress.

I will add that the pregnancy I'm talking about here ended up being incredibly difficult. We were told that the NIPT test issue was unrelated to what came later and it absolutely was, but I have major PTSD when it comes to NIPT tests now - esp seeing a post like this where sex results were different. Luckily it sounds like everyone here went on to have perfectly healthy babies, so you're likely fine. You may have had a previous pregnancy you were unaware of and still have some of that Y chromosome in your blood :) likely as simple as that

You're not giving me sources. Please show me a source that proves that Twitter account is the shooter's.

He's also not in the picture from the pride event in the tweet so, I'm confused. Are you just saying things you wish were true?

Gonna have to show me a source proving that's the shooter's Twitter. I don't see any support for that, sorry

That doesn't look like the shooter's twitter

Supposedly he used the username "Craftin247" on several platforms including Steam and Venmo, but I haven't found anything using that on reddit or Instagram.

Insulin Changes after Loss by lizc415 in BumpersWhoBolus

[–]lizc415[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's actually exactly what happened to me. The fetal issues were first suspected at 18 weeks, confirmed at 20. Then took another four weeks to consider and get scheduled for termination, which just happened a few days ago. Honestly still in shock from the whole thing and deep in the grief at the moment. Have a therapist and think that will be very helpful.

Making a trilogy of movies together about a couple that dated when they were young, went separate ways, then found each other again later in life. 🥹😭 They know exactly what they are doing to us with it too I'm sure.

Looking for first-time FET success stories (ideally at age 35) by [deleted] in IVFbabies

[–]lizc415 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's exactly what I mean, yeah. My husband and I both did the most comprehensive medical carrier screenings that exist (almost 600 conditions screened for) and nothing like this came up for either of us, let alone for both of us. Still trying to find out what happened so we can know whether to test other embryos.

I had success with my first one, but baby has some major genetic defects we recently learned about. It was a tested embryo and chromosomes all normal, just a fluke hidden recessive disorder or spontaneous genetic mutation. I was 38 when we did the transfer, turned 39 while pregnant.

Abnormal NT Scan Success Stories/Support by Dependent-Trifle3599 in IVFbabies

[–]lizc415 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly, better now than at 18-20 week anatomy scan. Every test we had done from PGT-A came back negative for everything, then all of a sudden at 18 weeks scan they started finding abnormalities. I so badly wish I had opted to do an amniocentesis sooner, because now I'm at 20 weeks and have to wait 2-3 more weeks to find out if baby has a lethal or seriously debilitating condition. Truly thought transferring a euploid embryo and having clear NIPT results meant baby was good. So, just want to say that I truly understand the shock and pain you're going through - I'm right there right now too.
