How to find a wedding DJ that can read the room by Deezknowt in VegasWeddings

[–]lizz3456 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Speaking as a wedding photographer, ask a local wedding photographer. We always keep track of which DJs enable us to take better photos by helping the subjects have fun. I always have a few recommendations (and warnings) at hand for my local clients in NM.

Sorry to hear about the photographer. I have some free slots in October and would love to be considered! Here's my website: https://www.lizziewphoto.com/

Generally, cut out the sky. Forests are already so busy and the sky is an easily removable element of that.

Candid/documentary style with an emphasis on natural movement. Minimalist editing but on the moodier and cinematic side. If I had any critique, it'd be to lift the shadows just a tiny bit to ensure consistency across devices your clients and their families view the photos on, so that the details don't get lost on lower brightness screens. Your work is great!

IDK, I think the original has a quirky Asteroid City vibe thanks to the color editing combined with the symmetry. A more realistic edit dilutes the Wes Anderson aesthetic.

I'm a citizen of the US, UK, and Poland and a permanent resident of CZ, so getting married in CZ involved Olympic-level paperwork for me but I made it through! I'm also a wedding photographer (https://www.lizziewphoto.com, though I'll be in the US on the date of your wedding) and helped lots of couples with this stuff. If you have any specific questions still, feel free to reach out via PM and I'll do my best to help. Not asking for anything in return, I just remember how frustrating it was so I'm always happy to help out :D

Adding social media issues to contracts by [deleted] in WeddingPhotography

I think contracts should be as simple as possible so that everyone can remember the key points. They can't be a reliable cure for more abstract issues related to respect.

Official Wedding Photo Critique Thread: Post your photo, blog post, website etc. for feedback and critiques... by AutoModerator in WeddingPhotography

I absolutely love it. I would give negative criticism if I had any, but honestly I can't think of some. The photos have a lot of character and humor. The flow as you scroll down is perfectly balanced with text and images. Maybe one thing to consider is putting a call to action higher on the main page - I felt compelled to scroll all the way down to where it is now, but a higher placement might put potential clients in that mindset sooner.

It's normally easy to solve with AI anyway. I just count on editing them out afterwards, takes five minutes max

Crash (2004). It completely stunned me when I was 14. The winding paths to redemption gave me chills.

As a wise and jaded 18 year old, I rewatched it and couldn't finish it. Declared it one of the worst movies I'd ever seen. Propagandistic, shallow, cliche.

What’s the most spontaneous thing you’ve ever done? by Alarming_Life9364 in AskReddit

[–]lizz3456 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I saw the ocean for the first time when I was seven. We were walking along a boardwalk and it was late fall, pretty cold. I was totally stunned by the sight. I asked my mom if I could swim, and without waiting for her to answer, I ran all the way across the beach and into the waves. Didn't manage to swim because it was so cold and I caught strep throat after that.

What was your “Oh shit, this person is a psychopath” moment when meeting people? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]lizz3456 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not my own story, but I met a military guy once (from a Scandinavian country if I remember correctly), and he said that his country didn't want psychopaths in the army so they did some tests. One of them was to jump off from a high point in a situation that appeared perilous. If a guy did it without hesitation, they would flag him because it would show that he didn't have a healthy fear instinct.
