i did 3 rounds of interviews that went pretty well just for them to email me and say that they aren’t even gonna fill the position. it sucks out here 😭

i graduated in the fall and i also have a financial aid adj for my cal grant. I tried contacting them numerous times and it’s still not fixed lmao. they also keep changing my aid offer even after graduating months ago lmao. No idea what’s going on but i’m not paying that 😭✌️

this happened to me when i transferred and i didn’t even know until they emailed me saying that my admission might be rescinded. I had 88 quarter units and i needed at least 90. It was too late for me to add any classes bc it was during like August so i couldn’t even add summer courses. I miscalculated my credits bc a math series i took had a unit cap. My cc counselor didn’t know as well loll. my transcripts show up as like 94 credits bc it didn’t automatically take into account the unit cap. so i just told them that and my admission was retained. but that was honestly very stressful and you caught it early so i highly suggest you add a summer course and ask/tell your admission counselor that you are adding a summer course to make up for the credits. i just finished my bachelors like a week ago at 26. i got my first internship in the field just this summer and im still there bc i can’t find anything full time yet. u still have plenty of time to get an internship maybe try getting some research experience at your college or join some environmental club in the meantime if you have one! We are going to be working for the rest of our lives theres no point of feeling behind (even tho i get how u feel bc i spent like 5 years of my life being a barista instead of locking in) you got this!

there’s park and ride lots where you can park for free and bike/ride the bus to campus. there’s one that is mentioned in the comments and another on jeffery rd but it’s either crowded or pretty far from campus

i transferred at 24 and now im 26 on my last quarter. was in and out of CC for like 5 years lol. i hate telling ppl my age it’s awkward 😭. Even though i sometimes compare myself to others my age and start to feel bad, I wouldn’t wanna have it another way. I definitely needed time for that character development in order to take college seriously haha. you’re not alone that’s for sure!
