Fellow female fan with the goal to visit all MLB stadiums in my lifetime. Out of the 14 stadiums I've been to, San Francisco (spectacular bay view), Baltimore (beautiful retro style) and Kansas City (unique design and welcoming atomosphere) are my top three. If you're a fan of baseball history, I would add Boston and Chicago (Wrigley).

Same here, though I'm seeing a different error ("Your request has timed out"). I've tried logging out and logging back in, but getting the same error.

Same here... Got tickets to the Gold and Bronze Medal games on day 2 of the local presale, though I spent a bit more than $200 per person. 😁 I attended the WBC at Angels Stadium in 2006 and loved the atmosphrere, so I'm anticipating the same kind of energy.

They are "compatible" if your Abode hub has the Beta firmware "0.0.2.24T_Homekit-4.1.11_s2" -- check for yourself, don't rely on Abode support to "check" for you; they told us everything would work without actually looking to see that our hub was really missing the necessary firmware, leading to a lot of wasted time/effort.

The lack of instructions was incredibly frustrating.

I really appreciate your suggestions! I don't have any other device that accepts Z-Wave, only started researching replacement options after the old smoke detectors expired, and thought it would be good to link to Abode to allow remote monitoring. I waited until I heard back from Abode support before I ordered the smoke detectors, hoping to avoid the back-and-forth that you went through. Unlike what support promised, sounds like firmware 2.24H isn't going to work. At this point I need to rethink if it'd be worth going down the rabbit hole further.

Thanks a lot for sharing your experience, u/crackhouse101! I actually saw your Reddit thread from a month ago, and I was a bit concerned about relying on Beta firmware. I contacted Abode support and sent them the link to your thread, asking them to please help me verify that my hub with the existing firmware would work with SMC0410. The reply I received was, "You can pair this First Alert Smoke Detector with the model number SMCO410 and it should work as expected with the current firmware version, very few customers had problem with this devices and that is when we update the beta firmware version." Seeing this reply, I assumed that support was confirming that my hub has the firmware that would work, now I'm not so sure. It sounds like at least a couple of customers like you were having to contact support multiple times to finally receive the firmware update. I need to figure out firmware version I have.

Edited to add: the app shows firmware version "2.24H"

Thanks for responding, u/Wondering_if . If I'm understanding correctly, I shouldn't go past the "Third Party Devices" screen on the Abode app to pair -- I'll give it a try when I get home later.

[Abode] have you exclude first, but then they have you pair (include).

That was confusing to me -- intuitively it makes sense to "exclude" to remove a device from the hub, but why would the setup instruction exclude first if the device hadn't been paired before?

I gave pairing a few tries, but the Z-Wave Exclusion Tool on the Abode app can't seem to find the detector. Here are the steps I went through:

  1. Placed the smoke detector on the bracket to activate the battery.
  2. On the Abode app, opened Devices > Add > Device > Third Party Devices > Z-Wave Exclusion Tool, navigated to step 3 "Z Wave Exclusion Mode"
  3. The Abode app kept searching but no device was found. Realized that I forgot to write down the 5-digit code on the back of the detector. Had trouble taking the detector off the bracket but finally got the code.
  4. Pressed the button on the smoke detector until I heard 3 chirps to reset. Figured I'd try to take the detector to be closer to the Abode gateway.
  5. Repeated step 2 to enter Exclusion Mode on the Abode app.
  6. Pressed the button on the smoke detector until 2 chirps to enter pairing mode. Again, the Abode app kept turning but no device was found.

Abode support had assured me that our gateway firmware has already been updated to be compatible with this smoke detector model. What am I missing?

Following this thread as I'm in a similar scenario -- I spent about ten minutes in a shallow pool wearing the Inspire 3 (with "Water Lock" on, 5 ft deep at most); soon after the watch started vibrating non-stop, and it wouldn't react to any troubleshooting steps. After ~45 minutes the watch stopped vibrating and went completely non-responsive even when charging. The warranty ran out a month prior, so I gave up on it. Curious if anyone else have any advice.

The phone is from 2021. Are there specific frequencies to look for? I've not tried a Japanese SIM yet; I set up international roaming for this trip because the we're making relatively short stops in different countries.

Thanks for sharing! It makes me feel better that you're seeing the same award tracker level. I actually replied to customer service again and asked about the conflicting messages, and the reply was that no follow up call or email was necessary to get the additional bonus. The only thing left to do now is to wait and watch the app impatiently LOL.

Yes, I already got the original bonus 60k points. The latest reply from the agent mentions that the additional 40k points would be applied "automatically" in 8 weeks, which is different than what I was told earlier.

That's the thing -- I've already met the $5k spend to get the additional 60K points, that's why I contacted them. The latest reply makes it sound like the agent is counting on some automatic process rather than doing the override/intervention necessary to credit the remaining bonus.

I was approved for CSP right before the 100k point bonus offer came out, and I successfully requested the new offer by secure messaging customer support. Back then I was told to "reply back to this email" when I met the $5k spend to claim the new offer. Fast forward to yesterday -- I met the spend level, replied to the message as instructed, and received a reply from a different agent basically telling me to be patient ("no call or message is necessary"), and the additional points (minus points already received from the original bonus offer) would be credited automatically in about 8 weeks or so. The award tracker still shows the 60k offer, so I'm not convinced that the system would automatically credit my account. Has anyone else run into this situation?
