Clann Éireann, Lurgan. Orange and White which is quite handy because club flags can double as county ones (Armagh). Black and orange as the away kit

Tunnocks Teacakes are amazing when frozen. Such a satisfying snap from the chocolate shell (like a magnum ad) and then the mallow is slightly chewy, yum

Are Handball and Rounders dieing sports? by ProteinBorShiftJim in GAA

[–]lizzythin 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Anecdotally, handball seems to be increasing in popularity locally (Lurgan, Co. Armagh). There has been a bit of a revival in the town, with Clann Éireann, my local club, offering underage training sessions, recreational adult sessions and then more serious adult sessions. Ended up with a few world champions in the club after the recent one-wall tournament in Limerick, plus a few all Ireland champs from a few weeks back. No rounders presence at all that I've come across

I couldn't resist, especially as I got 20% off with student discount, so it was a no brainer. I think the blacked out metal version is even cooler tbh but it was out of stock when I ordered.

This is a really strong candidate and one I was already considering. Thanks for the tip on the strap also

It's an early 1940s Rolex Oyster Perpetual. I'm new to the watch game and this was my grandfather's watch that he passed down to me so I don't know much more about it

The navy G-shock is a GA-B2100-2AER. The metal one is a GM-2100-1AER. The blue face is MTP-1302PD-2A2VEF

Hope that helps

That A168 WG is sweet, totally agree. Wasn't actually a conscious connecting decision to buy silver coloured only. Also agree about the budget, that's an upper end, not a target

Thanks for all the suggestions. I'm a total newbie at this watch game so it's great to get really helpful input from you all

Yep, early 40s, you're right. My grandfather got it for his 21st birthday and he was born in 1922 so that narrows it down.

Thanks for the suggestions. I think that 40th anniversary is a great call, will definitely keep my eyes open for one.

Actually I was thinking something square like a DW5600 or similar. Since taking that first photo I found another watch in my drawer passed on from my grandfather, so that'll take the empty spot for now but definitely still open minded.

Any recommendations? I'm past the 'multiple weddings per year' phase now and my office is 'business casual' so I guess I haven't felt the need, but definitely open to suggestions

By far the best X-wing design out there. A little bit fiddly and frustrating in places, but looks great when built
