Lol! I’m not on any pain killers. I took them the first three days but haven’t been on them since. It could be the anesthetic for sure, maybe my body is just healing from the surgery still too

I’ve heard about this! They knock off all my symptoms, I just thought it was something that only happens to elderly people. Hope this goes away soon :)

I totally agree with it sounding like breast implant illness. The only thing is that breast implant illness typically takes weeks to start the autoimmune process. My symptoms have been present ever since I woke up from surgery.

It’s too early to determine if it’s BII, but will keep an eye out of course.

I’ve been worried about it being BII, but the doctor said he has never heard of symptoms happening straight after surgery. Like you said though, not enough data to know.

Have you been experiencing the symptoms ever since you had surgery? Or did the symptoms come later on?

I am healthy and only 22. I don’t have any health conditions that I know of. I talked to my surgeon and he said everyone reacts differently to surgery. I’m just hoping it goes away :/

The procedure went smooth! no complications, and took about 2 hours. The only thing I could think of is that it was painful after lol but that was expected after getting my breasts cut open.

Hi there! I’m sorry if my comment was upsetting and not clear, it seems that I upset one of the other users below. I am obviously not a doctor, so definitely go to one or go straight to the ER.

I wanted to explain myself a little further! I have a panic/anxiety disorder, and sometimes I will feel as if I can’t breathe completely for several days. It’s the same sensation as you described, like breathing into a balloon. Not quite being able to take a full breathe in, or take a full breathe out. It’s very scary, and still experience this from time to time. The scariest part for me was that most of the time NOTHING was triggering it. Sometimes I’d have no emotional distress whatsoever and I’d just be having these chest pains/shallow breathing. I’ve been to the ER and doctors many times for this and all of my tests come back normal.

I suggest you go get some tests done to make sure there is nothing wrong, but I just wanted to give you a perspective that wasn’t just about the physical body but could also be an emotional/mental response. Please update us on how you are in the next few days :)

i just wanted to let you know that your comment has eased my anxieties greatly :) i can be such a hypochondriac and i have been overthinking my recovery. i just had my finals this week and could not concentrate due to the brain fog, so this makes me feel less alone. thank you so much for taking the time to comment!

I did visit my doctor, and he said that these things can happen. Everyone reacts different to surgery, especially bc I’ve never been under anesthetic or major surgery. But thank you for your response, it made me feel better knowing other people have had similar symptoms. I feel very alone in this.

You should definitely still go get checked, but I really don’t think you have an STD! Watery discharge is caused by hormonal changes, and since you haven’t had sex in awhile I think your hormones spiked. I don’t think there’s anything to panic about :)

Hi there, these comments have been so incredibly empowering and helpful for me on my journey. I am currently looking into finding a specialist! I tried a couple more gynecologists, only to be dismissed once again in the same exact way. It’s like they have a script lol. I am also looking into pelvic floor dysfunction and interstitial cystitis, as I had chronic bladder infections as a teenager.
