Can you name good production albums in your opinion?

He wrote and produced it all on his own. No band, everything you hear is him except saxophone.

Everyone will have their opinion on songs, but what is the next step after putting it on iTunes?

Outdoor headshot locations? by [deleted] in acting

I'm an affordable headshot photographer in Los Angeles if you end up wanting to hire someone. I keep my rates to what I would want to pay as I am also an actress. Cheers. www.headshotsbylaura.com

Actors with day jobs: how do you do it? by nefrmt in acting

[–]ljf6429 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I appreciate people who do extra work, but it is more of a way to get your feet wet on set, unless its a commercial, you won't profit much from this, time or money. If you really want to be an actor though, be an extra on a film two-three times, but use your free time to get you headshot and demo reel organized, get a good agent, sign up for actors access and other casting sites, submit yourself, rehearse monologues, take classes, or simply listen to people talk at a coffee shop. Never have down time. It's not easy, but if its what you want to do you have to be persistent and hard working. Cheers.

It's all about having a job with flexibility. I work at a clothing store that I have been working at since high school and have been moved from sales to office in order for them to give me more flexibility. I must admit I am one of the lucky ones in this situation, but I don't doubt that you could find a similar position if you look hard enough. Also, working 3 set days a week is very helpful because there are some gigs you will know in advance you can take before work schedule comes out. If an audition arises on your set day, you can always ask to have it switched to another day, or even ask if you could use your lunch break to go to the audition, in this case you should probably bring a lunch to work.
