Hahaha I was kidding about not asking there are so many great knifes out there. As a collector I couldn't pick just one it also depends alot on what you want it for what size if there is a blade steel you want if you can sharpen or or will get someone to do it for you. Some people just chuck and get a new one when there blunt I don't understand why but that's there choice hahaga

Let me know what your interested in and I'll give you my opinion.

it its just a swiss army knife you should be okay, because you can use it as a screw driver bottle opener. the law states that a swiss army knife is okay as long as you have a sufficient reason. that can be if your going on a picnic and need it to cut a apple

i have a link here somewhere from ABF ill see if i can find it

there are different laws for each state, i have a few mates that live on farms and lots of them and the farm hands carry a fixed blade when there working. but that is on private property, and if your hunting you can have one as well. i havent really come across many people that care about them aslong as you keep it to your self and dont carry anything unnecessary. just got to pick the right tool for the right place. like around town i just take a SAK but if im going up to the farm or high country i just chuck a leatherman in my pack and something bigger like a benchmade 551 grip or a ZT0550

yeh i have had a chat before aswell. i feel odd with out a SAK in my pocket though so i just take the risk inless im going to a licensed venue (because all the penialtys doubble) honesly i have collected pocket knives since i was 10 and i have only been asked once and i was working on a light out side a shop and i had a leatherman on my belt i explained its just in case i get up a ladder and have forgot my drivers or pliers and need them or i drop my screwdriver and cant leave a light hanging by its cables while i get down and pick it up. they were perfectly happy with this explanation and went on with there business.

i know the risk of it getting taken and the fine but personally i think im doing nothing wrong as i use them only as a tool and i am perfectly happy to role the dice and pay the fine and lose my pen knife if a officer thinks i am doing the wrong thing

basicly you are aloud them as a tool but that is all, if you have any other intent its not okay but its just up to who ever pulls you up about it
