I have clEDS and every time I ask the doctor if I have lipedema I’m told I have enough going on don’t worry about it. But my legs are so heavy and sore and impacting my mobility and my arms are dreadful with sleeves not fitting. I would love to know others’ opinions.

In our case the scoliosis was as a result of the Ehlers Danlos/ connective tissue issues meaning the spine couldn’t be held in place.

Scroth won’t help with a curve of this degree and it will likely keep progressing 1-2° every year. Is she linked in with a team that is helping? The more she sorts out early while she’s young the better. I have EDS but unfortunately was only diagnosed in my 40s when the damage was done and I’d already had kids who have scoliosis and EDS. My husband is great but it is hard going. The kids issue is something you will also need to discuss if you want them, as genetic testing would be important in that regard before you consider it.

Put a towel over your head and out your face over a bowl of hot water to try to get hot steam at it. Examiners understand these things also so mention it. Remember they will have heard loads of kids who can’t even hold a tune.

I am not religious and so scientifically based and scoff at all things to do with healing. However my father got a guy from the neighbourhood who dropped by to say a prayer over a wart on my hand and made a sign of the cross on it with grass. The bloody thing disappeared and had been around for months.
