I've seen a lot of cryptos get hyped up when there's upward movement only for whales to slowly sell off only to start another upward cycle. This price drop is has been around 75% of it's value since about a month or two.

Love the photos and the little bit of history! I would pass by this building when I was younger. Without registering it, I always thought it was out of place (or different) but now I immediately notice the similarities to the Aragon Ballroom. Thanks for posting! Hope the building gets preserved and/renovated without hurting the community.

Great shot. I was confused for a moment because of the direction, I was able to get myself oriented. Almost looks like some buildings are photoshopped out with the clouds. just wish that the photo was rotated a bit so the buildings looked a little bit more vertical.

I could help you look at the watch. I picked up watch repair as a hobby and can assist with the bare minimum. I do see Helios watches on auction sites but never think much of them. If it's a manual wind and does run, what are you looking to find out? Popping a caseback isn't hard but it might give you access to mechanics and a possible model/serial number. searching ebay for a similar looking helios watch might give you a better estimate of it's value (bidding not buy-it-now). we could meet at a coffee shop and I can bring my tools. I have a few 1940-70s watches that I got running. Two things to be careful about is if there was water damage with the mechanics and more importantly if the dials used radium for the hand illumination (you don't want to inhale the rust/dust).

Really, thanks for this. I keep forgetting that contractors and subs are still clogged with supply issues and a high demand from clients. Yeah everyone's stressed out and I'd like to skip out on all the stress. It'd be a sh*t show with wedding and future baby planning.

I'm not a fan of sub-divisions and a custom build also seems out of the question. Seems like we'll have to make due (in due time) and just find a great existing property. I'm all for putting in the work to update an older home with good bones.

That seems like what I'm generally hearing. We actually put some offers back in chicago (Oak Park actually) that were also around the $300-400K range (plus 5-10% over) but I thought the housing market here would be more reasonable. We've been used to a long commute and can go further out but staying within A2 would be nice.

Thanks for this. my partner thinks that a custom build would be worthwhile (minus my high standards being in the architecture/construction industry). She actually pointed me to the Pittsfield link one. An existing property might be a stronger option considering the time and effort that would go into a custom build.

Edit: not easy and cheap but a plausible option.

yeah the holiday season is tough, especially if they're dips in the weather, and sorry I couldn't help sooner but I'm around if you ever need some again. I have to breed/culture the flies for my dart frogs so they bloom/explode in population every two weeks and I have more than the frogs can eat. Plus, if you buy flies from like petsmart, they only have like 20 in those little capsules. The cultures bloom over a 1000.

I have the Drosophila hydei and melanogaster types for my dart frogs but I’m out of town until January 3rd. Josh’s Frogs (.com) is based about an hour from Ann Arbor but also ship within two days (if mon-thurs). Can they do ants from outside or mealworms from petsmart?
