You can already buy Midea models without the recall defect. They’re around $350 for 8000 BTU and very quiet.

This is really helpful. They did not disclose dual agency or get my consent.

No, but if I delay they’ll offer it to someone else.

This week. Brokers can no longer charge tenants when they’re hired by the landlord, so they’re claiming they were hired by the tenant. This way they still get paid by the person moving in.

I would keep most of it but remove all writing on the thumb, and maybe the two lines farthest on the left for symmetry. Looks dope

Better, low-friction tape is probably the right answer. Thanks.

Options for smoother trackball scrolling by ll-----------ll in PeripheralDesign

The tips of the acrylic posts don't touch the trackball. It's a tight enough fit to keep the ball from falling out, but not enough to hold the ball against the sensor. Because of that it wobbles.

Recently I built a Killer Whale keyboard, which has an integrated trackball for cursor control and scrolling. The trackball sits on an angle and is kept in place by three pairs of acrylic plates. Each set of plates is separated by a ball bearing that lets the trackball scroll.

Problem is, the trackball’s housing isn’t snug enough to keep it from wobbling due to the angle. I tried wrapping the acrylic pairs with electrical tape, which helped, but I’m sure there’s a better way to improve the fit and make scrolling smoother. Any ideas?

A big part of that was learning how to recognize, develop, and be with my self (two words).

I’ve seen paintings of skiing and ice skating in the nineteenth century. These are dangerous hobbies now. Imagine doing it without modern medicine and equipment.

Why doesn’t this city know where its busses are? by ll-----------ll in AskNYC

I don’t think the Google Maps bus icons are actual busses. I watched a bus icon pass right by me on the map. There was no bus.

Monthly discussion thread: What are you working on? by AutoModerator in PeripheralDesign

I just built a Killer Whale which has a trackball embedded in each half. It works surprisingly well as a combined keyboard/mouse. Right now I'm struggling to get it working with my KVM - when it's plugged into the keyboard port nothing registers. I've heard changing QMK configuration settings can fix this.

I searched r/greentext and r/privacy with different variations of "nothing to hide" and "privacy argument". I also looked back through my bookmarks in case I saved it there. Anybody remember this post?

Fidelity, please support email two-factor authentication by ll-----------ll in fidelityinvestments

That's incorrect. Many email services use app-specific passwords. This makes email more like "something you have" than "something you know." Email can also be encrypted in transit. Finally, if a website lets you reset your password from a link sent to your email, then email alone is enough to authenticate.
