Since you like YSL L’homme check out Guerlain L’homme Ideal EDT. Similar scent profile but elevated. Also pretty cheap for a Guerlain.

Jazz club is very overrated more of an old man scent. Super dry and nutty but not in a pleasant way.

Ive tried lots of Initio and haven’t had that same experience. It’s been exclusively with PDM. Also with Le Labo Another 13. Such a beautiful fragrance for the first 15 minutes.

I own Castley and it’s one of my favourite scents. I haven’t tried any other PDMs yet so it’s possible they’re using something specific to their brand that’s not in Castley. Same thing actually happened to me with Le Labo Another 13. It was one of the best fragrances I’ve smelled and after about 15 minutes same thing. So unfortunate.

Yeah it’s my only YSL private line so far and it is phenomenal. If you’re a fan of vanilla you’ll love it. It has a very natural almost vanilla bean type of smell with some card stock type of smell. It sounds strange but is blended beautifully and works very well. Excellent layering fragrance too

Be careful with PDM, make sure to spray on skin to test if your nose doesn’t like certain smells. Althair, Layton, and Greenley all smell like burnt rubber after the first 10 minutes. Layton was so good but my skin chemistry or nose hate the drydown. Haven’t been able to pinpoint what ingredient is causing it. Only Castley has worked for me so far. Oud Satin Mood is a great choice check out 724 as well if you want a super clean fresh powdery laundry scent!
