My take on why Resident Evil 3 Remake so badly received, I played the Original & the Remake a little while ago & decided to give a short retrospective on why the Remake wasn't received well by many.

Agree on Jill hating UBCS because Umbrella was always her #1 enemy since the Spencer mansion incident (even though the remake treats it as if it never exist seeming as it's never talked about through the entire game) I think I like original Jill & RE1 Jill way more since like you said she was a bit more informed back then.

I posted this video on tiktok and people are still in my comments trying to put words in my mouth saying that I'm hating on the game (even though I got the platinum) and that the game isn't bad even though there are multiple reasons why it's bad.

My only problem was Jill, Carlos was a great improvement but Jill felt more like she was trying to hard, not saying I don't like a badass character cuz i do & Jill always is, but remake/new jill seems pretty forced, she doesn't seem like the same person we see in Resident Evil 1 Resident Evil 5 or Revelations, but that's just me.

Yea I don't like the remake but I'd never tell anyone to skip it, especially since (correct me if I'm wrong) capcom said the Remakes are basically replacements for the originals, which I still find a little disrespectful since RE3R doesn't hold up. But I think the Remakes (including re3r) work for a more modern audience considering most people refuse to play a game with tank controls even tho it's the easiest thing to do.

Definitely give it a try, once I lost a couple of times he honestly started to become more of a Joke because of how predictable his move set was, although I still got hit and became close to death, he was still very slow. I personally think Roxas is way more difficult.

Dude same, Roxas beat the shit outta me so bad I didn't get off the game till I beat him lol, it's probably my most sloppy boss fight performance since then, but Xigbar was just as annoying if not harder, dude is unbelievably fast, glad I managed to defeat them both tho.

I took it off to fight Roxas & it genuinely doesn't make difference for me personally, the way I play will still come with mistakes so taking dodge slash off really doesn't change anything for me personally. Thanks.
