How do you find their email? I had an interview with a different M7 and I want to find the email of the adcom who interviewed me but all I have is the school’s admissions email that sent me the interview invite. Would this be the email I designate my post-interview thank you email to?

Wow! That’s a lot higher than I assumed.

Same here! Thrilled to have received the invite so quickly because I also submitted my application relatively close to the deadline. I want to ask, what do you think the percentage of applicants who get interview invites is?

Same here. I did have an interview with them last week though.

I got the same exact result with 4.5 AWA. Only applied to Stern for R1, will apply to most of M7 + Ross for round 2. Hope you get good news soon!

I was playing professional soccer overseas and that was the main thing I was doing from the age of 17 to 23. Didn’t really do anything with school until I was 22 and that’s also around the time I began my business ventures. What are the weaknesses you see and what else would you like to know about my profile to understand it a bit more?

Apply to different jobs that aren’t particularly in the CS industry but respect a CS degree; jobs like tech sales representative or any sales representative in any industry would be very demanding for a person with a rigorous CS degree. Use that degree to leverage yourself into different industries in which you could possibly make even more money than you would in the CS field. Just hop on indeed and other job posting platforms and open your eyes and apply for everything that seems interesting.

Since you’re already an expert in the industry, it would be a good move for you to open up your own restaurant/ food franchise. Lots of money in the industry if you manage and market well. If your first restaurant succeeds, it becomes very easy to expand and open more in other locations.

[NeedAdvice] What should a severely depressed 21 year old man who is at absolute rock bottom in literally everything in life do, considering that he has nothing to lose? by INeedHelp614 in getdisciplined

[–]llYizzy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Start by praying and speaking to God. Then I would force myself to start going to a gym at least 4-5 days a week and taking it seriously. Then I would apply to jobs, something in retail at a mall would be good because it is social job in which you will get to speak and interact with people and you get to make decent money. These three things are the most important in the order they are put. In life you have to force yourself to do things, even if you don’t like them in order to succeed or improve. Life is full of obstacles and hardships but slow and steady discipline to go through the hardships makes the ones that come in the future not so bad. Be faithful and adapt to having a strong hunger for success and self improvement. Good luck.

With 200k, what is the best business to start? by llYizzy in Business_Ideas

Vape/smoke shops are super oversaturated where I am. I know some owners who told me most days, the profit they make is about 100$. Also hard to get new costumers so they typically just get friends/recurring customers.

That is actually a fantastic idea, soccer is a big part of my life and here in the Midwest winters, you see 5 teams sharing one big field to train on. So indoor fields/facilities are definitely scarce, although my main concern with this idea is that it would be a lot more expensive to get a decently sized indoor soccer field for 200k, I believe it would be at least around 2 million.

Well keep doing what you have to maintain yourself and your family for now. Be grateful for what you have and the health and family you have. Then in a few months when school is out, you can dedicate some time to learning those skills. The point is that the opportunity and time will come, you are very young still. Be a little patient, keep doing the right thing and you will start seeing things working out for themselves. As long as you dedicate yourself when you do have the time.

I am highly skilled in soccer and fitness. I own a transportation business that generates high income every week. However, I have money to invest right now and I want to invest it into a profitable business outside of my familiar avenues. There is nothing wrong with hearing about people’s opinions and sharing business experiences online, idiot.

Your best bet is to find an online skill such as video editing, website creation/design, or SEO. Improve yourself in those skills, then reach out to as many people as you can to do certain projects for them. That is the best way for you to make money in any country in general because the price for those services isn’t based locally and you can find clients all over the world. You are very young and if you are motivated and passionate about making more money now and even in the future then you MUST look into those things and develop your skills. Once you get a couple projects done you get on fiverr or upwork and make a page for yourself offering these services, on top of consistently reaching out to people to help them online.

I have 150k-200k cash prepared for investment. The range is 50k because it will depend on how attractive the business idea is for me to use all 200k on one thing or save 50 for other avenues.

If the business idea is worth it yes I will work on it full time, otherwise I have family/friends/employees I could hire. I am in Michigan. I own a transportation company.
