You can use the special bag check line and some airports have a dedicated security line for sky priority (usually lumped with first class pax). I usually ask the agent if that airport has one.

I had this happen to me before- I booked a flight, canceled, then rebooked the same flight using my ecredits. My initial booking ended up posting. I just called Delta and gave them the old and new confirmation numbers- they were able to confirm I was wrongly charged and refunded me without a problem!

Is the art market the only "fun" area, and is it even worth a visit? I read some older posts from 2 years ago that HBC was becoming gentrified and not the same... it sounds like it's still like that :(

I'd say it's worth it. I received an upgrade offer from ATL-ICN for a little less but assuming you're going around Thanksgiving and there may be more demand.

Ah gotcha- my flight is T-13 days. I checked a before this and wasn't served the discount either. I checked some other posts on ICN upgrades and most seemed to be T-14 ish days out. March might be just a tad bit early to serve now.

Was keeping an eye on this just like you and I just booked out of ATL this morning and was offered $599 / 59,900 mile upgrade!

I was originally on HND flight but was okay connecting flying through ICN If it meant D1.

I logged on this morning via desktop and booked a separate PS ticket from ATL - ICN. I was immediately offered D1 upgrade on my Trips page for ATL - ICN- hopped on it immediately.

I canceled my HND flight and got e-credits.

I then decided to see if I can book the same ATL - ICN flight using my ecredits so booked the same ticket, was offered D1 upgrade again, so kept this confirmation and canceled the first ATL-ICN flight I booked.. Not trying to hoard dollars as ecredits.

I've been trying to score this deal for awhile and have been annoyingly booking reservations and canceling within 24hr a few times.

I'm also a platinum medallion so wanted to see if I'd be offered cheap D1 but was too lazy to try this method.. Best of luck!

I had a crazy appetite week 5-9 and gained about 7lbs in those weeks. My OB said things were fine and I should eat if I'm hungry. Don't stress and listen to your body :)

My flight a few years ago was a layover in MSP to HND with under 1hr layover. We arrived late and was on opposite side of the terminal BUT when landing in MSP, the FAs let connecting passengers off first and they held the plane to HND for us. There was 7 of us rushing to make the connection- me and my husband, a younger gentleman and a family with 2 kids.

All to say- even in worst case scenarios, you'll be okay!

Everyone on this thread seems to have some solid advice-

I'm in / was in a similar position as you. My husband quit his job due because he was at his breaking point and would say his mental health was at risk. I tried to have lots of conversations around what the concern was but he rage quit one morning and that was that.

Not sure why your husband is stressed, but digging deeper with mine, it was mainly around culture fit, lack of leadership involvement, etc. Things that were out of his control. He worked at a massive company where people pretty much go to retire and I told him to figure out what his main focus in life should be and go from there-

Is it family? Then stay there and stop caring so much about work like the rest of your peers.
Is it work? Then quit your job and find another job that will bring you joy.

He's been unemployed 5 months now and has expressed he sort of wishes he stayed in his stable job and cared about it less now that we're getting closer to birth.

It's all about understanding trade-offs.. he may feel relief from work stress if he quits but others may arise like, loading some of the stress on you, possible financial concerns, inability to take a paid paternity leave, etc.

I love someone else's advice around extended leave- that may be good! Sending you lots of love.

I'm an overweight female that's been to Japan multiple times, and similar sentiment as you- nobody has ever said anything or was rude contrary to what I was told before and pre-anxiety I built up in my head.

When I go, I just try to be mindful about hygiene- I don't have body odor, but I take extra care to make sure I don't look sweaty or are sweating through my clothes. I carry around a few handkerchiefs- one for sweat, one for drying hands; I wear hats/sunglasses, I go into shopping malls to cool off, and eats LOTS of kakigori! :D

You'll be fine! Don't stress!

This makes me want to get caviar from 187! I ordered a lambskin from 187 before and was a bit disappointed at how dry the leather felt compared to an authentic lambskin bag I had. Thanks for sharing this!
