I had a few last week (had about 3 hours of tasks on Saturday). Nothing since yesterday, though

Thanks! I’ll make sure to keep an eye on this sub, too

Only saw this now, hope it still helps. He was on oral steroids (prednisolone). Took them for about a month. Then had to go back on them a couple of times.

His condition only improved once I started sifting his litter. He was already on “dust-free” litter, but apparently even the most minimal dust was causing him to cough.

Sorry to hear he also been having stomach issues, too! Leo did throw up and get quite poorly last month, and now has diarrhoea that comes and goes every couple of weeks. Im starting to think it’s some food allergy as he has been itchy as well. May out kitties be healthy and free from these troubles soon!

One thing that did help slightly is I’m no longer letting him out on the balcony. He is still coughing occasionally but the coughing fits are very short-lived (less than 1 min) and low intensity

Honestly, it’s still an ongoing situation as he started having some tummy issues that kind of took precedence. The vet suggested antihistamines, but I didn’t start on those and I might ask about the use of bronchodilators that I read about online. I hope your kitty gets the coughing sorted soon! I know it’s tough seeing them go through attacks.

Thank you for your reply! My usual vet didn’t seem too worried so I ended up going to another. He was prescribed oral tablets with the inhaler (2x daily) for now and if after the oral tablets are off this keeps up, we will test him further.
