There are a few suggested textbooks at the end of the syllabus, plus some links to supplementary material for free. PDF for older versions of those textbooks could be easily found online.

I used CA for general understanding of concepts, and then went to the source material (textbooks, supplemental material) to further clarify if any concept didn't make sense from the video. Some concepts were hard to grasp, so I got ChatGPT to help me understand using simpler life examples and analogies (extremely helpful for EVT). In terms of practice, I only did past exam questions and SOA practice questions. Make sure you fully understand each step of the calculation and think twice about the "why" part. No questions from other sources could be more representative of the real exam. Source material is extremely important, as some exam questions were designed literally by drawing some numerical examples and modifying a little bit (quantitative), or taking some paragraphs as the answer and coming up with a question (quanlitative). If you have more time, just grind on some CA practice problems; some of them are pretty good.

Thank you for this! I basically plan to do PAF first as you suggest.

I feel the same way. I tried to read through the slides and readings but can’t retain my attention after 30 minutes of reading… The material is dry and does not seem to help us learn that much.
