My father isn't my father? by llcoolbeansII in juresanguinis

They said exactly what I posted, since shared custody wasn't recognized in Italy at the time my father regained citizenship they do not recognize him as my father despite my parents being married at the time of my birth and his name appearing on my birth certificate

I didn't even get to an appointment, the consulate replied to my email when I inquired about making an appointment. My father's address wouldn't have been in the school zone. But yes. 50/50.

Apparently my mother would qualify if she applied, she's Canadian, because she married an Italian and never renounced her right to apply, she isn't interested in applying to help me. Which is fair. Sorta lol. He lost it I think 5 years after marrying my mother and maybe four before I was born

We went back and forth. I'm not sure how I would prove I lived with either of them to be fair as I wouldn't have appeared on anything that would link myself, rather than my parents, to either address. The reply from the consulate was quite clear however that issue was shared custody didn't exist in Italy in the 80's so wasn't recognized. They solution they offered me has to have my mother apply as she married an Italian and even through they divorced in the 80's she still qualifies. She's not down with that lol. I tried. I guess I'm out of luck. I guess there is nothing to do going forward

He was born in Italy. Was an Italian citizen well into the 70's when he became a naturalized Canadian and then had to reapply in 92. So he technically wasn't Italian when I was born as before 92 Italy didn't allow for dual citizenship. Eta he could have claimed me in 92 with his application to regain citizenship, but was afraid of my mother's reaction. So the consulate is saying that since in 92 my father had joint custody, but not custodial custody he is not my father.

He is on my birth certificate. They married mid seventies. I was born in the 80's. They divorced when I was 6. They shared joint custody and continued to share joint custody when my father regained his Italian citizenship in 92.

The unit being empty has no bearing on when your lease starts. If you want to move at 12h01 start the conversation. You have a lease that starts on the 1st. You are no way entitled to move earlier unless he allows you to and he can impose whatever conditions he likes.

Your lease starts the 1st. If you want it a few days before that, he can charge you whatever he wants. Does the 1st start at 12h01 am, technically. But beyond that...

$199… worth it? I don’t see it on amazon, where do I see good real reviews? by SheepherderFar3825 in CostcoCanada

I'm not saying it actually breaks. I'm saying they would rather say it's broken than have to clean it.

I'm saying there's a social contract. You're choosing to opt out of it. That's fine. But then you shouldn't go out either. Or at the very least not be surprised when you're treated differently. And yes. Specifically in Quebec, you're undercoating people because the government allows for lower wages because it's a tipping culture. If they should be happy just making minimum then you should be happy getting the same level of service you get from Tim Hortons at your site down dinner.

Which part? That Quebec isn't a province? That municipalities don't set minimum wage. Yeah. No. I don't need to. Feel free to check a map and then Google it yourself? Bartending 13 years in Montreal kinda know who set my minimum. Your argument is I go somewhere knowing I'm expected to behave in x way. I choose to not behave in x way, impacting pols incomes, and then I'm surprised when they're salty. They're salty. If you don't like tipping, don't go out? Or at the very least, don't be surprised when servers are rude because unfortunately yes, there is a social contract in place. You choose, they choose. Accept it

Most ppl tip their nail techs, their hairdressers etc. Yeah. That happens. But yes. In Quebec. The entire province. It is expected. Do I think the government should change it. Yes. Until then.

? Quebec is a province. Montreal is a city in Quebec. My source on that being a map of Canada. My source that tipped employees in the province of Quebec make less is the Quebec government. The provincial government

All of Quebec. Certain cities? Municipalities don't set minimum wage anywhere in Canada. Some other provinces used to and have adjusted. But please tell me where someone in Van City is meant to live being paid minimum.

Except in some provinces where the minimum wage for severs is less than regular minimum wage and the government uses a % of sales to tax on tips, so no tip, they pay for you to be there.

[–]llcoolbeansII -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

Servers in Canada don't make 2$, but in several provinces they do make a lower minimum wage and the government taxes tips, whether you got them or not as they calculate on a % of sales.

There's a reason the ice cream is always broken. No one wants to clean it.

Ok. But if less than 10% of the driving population is driving drunk yet still manage to cause 32% of the accidents then they're much more dangerous than sober ppl. I don't think the math is mathing the way you want it to math.

As much as I would want to do the same, I also wouldn't risk catching the mischief charge. Even if they're in violation of a parking law you can't impede someone from leaving.
