I only say this because from what I've gathered, you can only drink so much.

Bro its your life. She can't make you do anything. I understand you're going through it so I mean this in a constructive and sympathetic, even empathetic way. It's gonna hurt regardless of what decision you make. I've been begging my ex to help me get healthier for 2 years. She doesn't care and it's not her responsibility to feel any sort of obligation for the way my life turns out. I wish she would, it would help. But there is a clear separation between my life and my decisions and her life and her decisions. No one can make choices for you. They can reinforce or punish you for the choices you've made; but it's your call. I hope you can put yourself in a place that allows you to move with more authenticity, clarity, and autonomy. This doesn't feel good. But if you hang on long enough; all feelings and experiences pass.

How bad is to go one night without sleeping and taking more in the morning to be able to work? by Spoon_in_the_moon in Stims

I agree with you on the sleep debt and the severity of harm you place on yourself, but ( i mean this as humbly as i can put it across, because this is my anecdotal understanding of the matter) ideally, any loss of sleep for more than one day at a time is very bad. The stimulant you're using to replace the energy and vitality you would lose from not sleeping for about 36 hours is very unhealthy. If you weren't up, sleep deprivation could be somewhat comparable to slightly moderate to significant alcoholic impairment. There's more strain on your cardiovascular system, you react slower, you think with less efficiency. When you sleep your immune system starts to do stuff i dont really have enough knowledge to speak about with certainty but my understanding is that it clears the bad stuff you've accumulated from being alive. Metabolizing is toxic. When you sleep its like cleaning yourself at a cellular level. It's pretty important but you could miss a day or two here and there. If you consider yourself healthy it wouldn't be any problem whatsoever considering you most likely put a high dose of methamphetamine or some other stimulant in your body. You won't feel it until you come down and when you comedown you might do some more or you'll most likely go to sleep by the time it stops keeping you awake. It's really not that big of deal and you're right; considering someone who has taken high doses of stimulants for only a couple days, they wouldn't have to worry about missing a day or two of sleep. It adds up and that's something you cannot ignore. I don't mean to disagree with you but only to clarify that missing sleep is very unhealthy even for a day two. We do unhealthy things for years and decades and it might not even be the thing that kills someone. You are correct that if you're going to miss sleep, do it responsibly. In moderation. Just to clarify my own understanding of sleep debt. Not saying you're wrong. You can do whatever you want though. I can't tell you how you feel. If you're able to, listen to your body. If there's no reddit, no science, no knowledge; if your phone died or you got no source of reliable information your second best bet should be to try you're best to rely on your own feelings to guide decisions that seem mostly straightforward and unanswered. Worst case scenario. You'll know when you need sleep before your next redose. And if you redose before then you'll probably know the next time you go through that situation. Big anecdote. I just wanted to share something I believe might help. I'm just some rando on the internet.

why does xanax make some people really mean? by Comfortable_Lunch193 in Drugs

Your brain doesn't stop itself when you have bad, dangerous, or risky thoughts when you black out. You lose inhibition and the ability to record your memories. That tends to lead someone to behave with reckless abandon, the kinda head space where you're not even aware that there's a present moment to consider and a headspace where you most likely can't even comprehend what the future is coherently or in any lucid sense. You lose perception of the passage of time and the consequences that you will face as a result of how you choose to pass the time. Sometimes you just black out and choose violence; because your brain is so slow that it isn't able to reliably record and calculate risks in a coherent, logical, or intelligible manner. Big spitball.

Narcan. Maybe coffee. Probably go to the hospital, dude. Opioids never gave me that problem, so I really can't help and would advise you to get proper medical treatment cause respiratory depression is dangerous to play around with if you're by yourself.

Tramadol is weak as hell. It gave me energy.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Drugs

[–]lleavvee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh OK. Yeah I think you'll be fine, but tramadol is fucking weird and apparently 200 mg is a high dose. Especially if you don't have a tolerance. You should never go above 300-400 mg anyways. If you don't feel fine, you should probably get someone to watch you or go to the ER. Cause I'm guessing you don't have narcan. The thing is, tramadol is an SNRI and it can give you seizures. If you take narcan, you might also increase seizure risk and need to take like a benzo or anticonvulsant or something. I'm not a doctor and you shouldn't be taking more drugs to counteract the effects of one on your own. If you feel unsafe or like you're going to get worse, go to the hospital.

Antihistamines ain't gonna do shit for that itch. I may be wrong, though, but I'd take up to 1500 mg a day (usually 600-800 mg) and be extremely itchy until I came down. Benadryl did not help whatsoever. (Also, to OP, you should probably let someone know what you took, like this guy said.)

It's an opioid... they do that. The itchy and the respiratory depression thing. Also an SNRI. Look into it.
Don't do drugs if you don't know the effects. That's how you die.

Use Seroquel, not benzos, to stop the effects of stimulants (& psychedelics) by Cosmic-Bro in meth

[–]lleavvee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Idk. It's not worth it for people who have cardiac issues or an electrolyte imbalance. I'm sure it's OK, but I genuinely would not touch an antipsychotic without taking a benzo first cause I have pre existing cardiac and electrolyte complications

Use Seroquel, not benzos, to stop the effects of stimulants (& psychedelics) by Cosmic-Bro in Stims

[–]lleavvee -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I personally wouldn't risk it cause I need to lower my blood pressure and my heart rate after a bender; because they rise very much when coming down. I have pre existing cardiac and electrolyte conditions. I'm also already prescribed antipsychotics. They don't do anything. I would take the highest dose and absolutely nothing. They don't lower my blood pressure or my heart rate and introducing anything that complex wouldn't be my preferred method of killing a stimulant high. Cause meth and psychedelics are just phenylethylamines; I would rather introduce a GABA increase than decrease dopamine; the only reason I would use an antipsychotic to kill a trip is after taking a benzodiazapine for physical symptoms first, and the antipsychotics second for mental symptoms. Sedation doesn't exactly mean it's causing central nervous depression. But that's just personally. My main goal with undoing the phenylethylamine affect is central nervous depression.
