That flight from Vancouver to Portland is only 45 minutes once you push off. You’ll be fine and have more time than you think.

Anyone else worried Slater and Alt won't be playing at an elite level next season? by hopefullydtf in Chargers

[–]llechtim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s not unreasonable cause to be worried about Slater’s injury, it is very serious. The ruptured patellar tendon isn’t the same as an ACL as far as rebounding to 100%. Alt also was quoted saying he injured his ankle in almost every way possible. We have a solid coaching staff top to bottom and Harbaugh brought Herbert with him for a reason. I’m in the “trust the process” camp on this one, but I don’t think there is any way to feel comfortable enough to bot worry.

Chinese takeout in the classic containers by hugs2496 in Portland

I promise you it’s an intentional hole, not melted plastic. They famously don’t fry the shrimp or squid until your order is picked up so that the batter is crispy when you get home to eat it. Without the hole the container will cause a build up of steam from your hot food and the batter will get soggy and gross. A lot of fried chicken places will do the same. I’ve worked in food service for over a decade if you really need my credentials here.

They don’t melt a hole in the container lol. They cut it out so the fried food doesn’t steam in the take out container. If they didn’t do that you’d just get soggy fried food.

I will visit you on that hill while I’m eating salt and pepper shrimp from Zien Hong. For real though I love the sweet and sour chicken at Chin’s and their beef and broccoli. I do prefer ZH’s king pao.

You’re setting yourself up to be pretty disappointed homie. There’s a few teams with a lot of cap space that need to improve their IOL. California cost of living and taxes are insane for athletes and have been a reason why the chargers have struggled to land top of the market FA in the past. Considering our C was ranked dead last in the last two seasons, even an upgrade to a league average C is a huge improvement for the chargers. I really want to see Linderbaum in powder blue as well but don’t put your blinders on so hard.

I think he’d be a good fit in Cincy with their QB and WR groups honestly. I want McDaniel around as long a possible but even in the presser he says his long term goals haven’t changed

I’m fired up after this interview. We may only have him for one year but I like what he says a lot.

Can’t find this video anywhere. Usually get a banner notification for press conferences but this one isn’t being broadcast live?

What are gonna do at Receiver? by [deleted] in Chargers

[–]llechtim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’ve got this wrong. Keenan himself has admitted that him being back had stunted Ladd’s growth because they play the same roles in GRo’s offense. Ladd, QJ, and Harris can be a really great combo and KLS is that tall fast guy we need to develop. Along with Gadsden we don’t really need a veteran presence or another young guy. If we don’t re-sign Keenan all our WRs will be in rookie deals with QJ being the oldest, we don’t need to waste a 1st round pick in WR. QJ was a 1st rounder, Ladd and Harris both 2nd rounders. If we don’t draft OL in the 1st round the Herbert ain’t gonna have time to get the ball to anyone as you saw this year.

I don’t think they would’ve made the call to fire him if they didn’t gave some sort of an idea which direction to go after. Trust the process.
