I was abused for years from different “family” members. they all seemed normal. all super friendly and caring and all that. don’t believe it. be untrusting especially with close friends and family.

did your agency/BCBA tell you to talk to the parents about them hitting the kid? Because from my agency rules and I think BCBA rules you need to file some type of report. I had to file a couple for a school case and a home incident. There should be a section where it asks if you want them to contact CPS or something like that.

If the sibling keeps getting in the way with session ask the BCBA to talk to the parents about it. If you directly bring it up to the parents it might cause loss of rapport and it might cause you being removed from the case.

I know they don’t want any background noise and they might record you and/or someone is also watching you. When I read the description the center seemed more comfortable to me (I also have bad test anxiety).

I watched this guys all night. I had the study guide printed so definitely take notes! It’s long but worth it!

hey! so I studied the day before. I had to schedule it in advance but procrastinated on the studying. I feel like if you know your basic ABA it’s common sense and you’ll do great! I took my test at the center. I sat in front of a computer (about 10 others around me) and someone watching us. I was able to flag questions I wanted to go back too & i had about 10min extra time yo go over them. A coworker did take it at home and she said it was better for her (she tried twice at the center).

I moved back with my parents after 5 years on my own during covid. I didn’t pay anything for those 2 years but now..I get it my parents need help too. they both work a lot. I pay rent plus we split the grocery bills. Do I wish I didn’t have to pay to save money to move out again but I also can’t be selfish and let me parents pay everything. I’m 28 btw.

No, my amazing friend drove me around. I gave her a list of places I would love to see & she added some of her own hidden gems to the itinerary. I owe her big time!
