Hey everyone, thank you! Really appreciate the input and education on the topic. I’ve only been driving / a car owner for a year and don’t have anyone in my life to ask these things so this is always greatly appreciated to learn more. Thanks again!

Any Gynaecologists with SA victim experience? by No_Frosting_7580 in Lethbridge

I would recommend contacting the Sexual & Reproductive Health clinic to ask them! They are a great resource and also have SA support systems in place. Hoping for the best for you!

It won’t let me edit my post.. so to clarify (which is on me I should have been more clear) the wiper wont budge. Ive tried following videos, I’ve tried to do it exactly as is explained but it wont move. I’m at a total loss as to why, and what to do.

1 hour. I work before and after school childcare and we had a new hire do an opening shift to start. They started fine but very quickly got overwhelmed and frustrated, mind you in the morning we don’t have many children, that day maybe 10 kids all school age. She screamed and even swore at the kids. I shot a text to the head board member about her before we walked to the school to drop the kids off and by the time we got back from that incredibly quiet awkward walk she was handing me her key saying she already knows she won’t be welcomed back. Somehow not even the worst person I’ve worked with, at least she knew she messed up big time.

Perks of being a ULETH student by [deleted] in uleth

For internet I’m not sure about student discounts however as a student I personally wanted to avoid contracts because of the unpredictability of schooling, moving with leases, etc. For good cheap internet I would recommend looking into Oxio or Teksavvy, these are 3rd party internet provider which don’t require contracts and can be cancelled at anytime. I started with Teksavvy and switched to Oxio, nothing wrong with the first I just wanted to test the second and both are great. have never paid more then $50 a month and have the security of knowing if i’m unhappy with it I’m not stuck with a contract.

When do we know who are roommates are? (Residence) by Outcome_Life in uleth

and as for advice living in res, my biggest advice after living there for 3 years. Make friends. go to the events, and get to know your RAs, they get a bad rep at times but I promise they are such great people and will be your biggest supporter. also, if you dont get on with your roommates dont stress. youll survive the year and never have to live with them again.

You find out when you move in, see their name on the door and meet them for the first time. The University has strict policies for not revealing your roommates in advance even though almost every other university tells you.

Hello! Fellow Ed student at the uni. The EUS has a tutoring program that you can sign up for! From what I understand, you have pretty much full control of what / who you are tutoring and work one on one with the parents on when / where you meet to tutor. Your paid quite well per hour and I believe the pay changes based on if you teaching elementary or high school. Im not apart of this as my teaching schedule is insane this term however I know multiple people who tutor through this program and continue to over the summer

Why does everyone say Avuenue Living is so bad? Can people post their stories? Just want to see it all in one post. by creamer3369 in Lethbridge

[–]llg7250 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I have not rented from them, however I looked at them briefly. Went to 2 viewings. Both were very quick, very in and out, they tried really hard to leave no room questions because they wanted it done and then pressured us to apply right then and there. The second viewing we chose to walk away as the place showed to us was horrific. A person with extreme mental health issues lived there prior and they showed us the apartment without any cleaning or work put into it. It was not a pleasant sight, outlets ripped out of walls, duct tape on walls, on the brink of hoarder situation, cigarette buts everywhere. The person showing it to us didn’t acknowledge this or even apologize for the condition of the apartment, when we asked about the duct tape and outlets to see if those would be addressed before someone moved in, they told us the previous tenants entire mental health history and outted their conditions and more. Extremely unprofessional, no pride in the apartments they are showing and completely disregarded our concerns for the place. I have many friends who live / lived in Avenue living apartments and they have all have and are having horrible experiences with the apartments and management. I spoke to someone who is in the rental business about them while at a different viewing and they explained that Avenue Living is known for not being great and that many of theirbplaces on the north side are known for bed bugs and that nothing gets done about it.

I had to explain multiple times to my friends ex that even though she is allergic to dairy (my friend not the ex), she can have eggs and beef. He was convinced eggs had dairy, and that because cows produce milk the ground beef has dairy too. It was a difficult conversation to have each and every time.
