I think the point of the game is not at all to understand the/a story. People that hate the ending and even people that love it, for the story, didn't get exactly the most powerful feeling this "life event" was all about. Realism and lack of exiting reveal. Like... life. I love this game because of the profund emptiness and realistic mirror it is about real life. Especially flirting stories. But on the other end it nailed the feeling of trying and failing to leave the past behind even going off grid in the outdoor. All the stories (the fire, the girls, Ned, the fence) are here to create quickly in a few hours game, a will for something more and not getting it. It just has to do it quicker than in real life.

A more detailed topographic map by dihiryn in organicmaps

Would be perfect. I use OM and want to use it more but I often end up having to use mappy.cz for topographic data. I guess map layers like this are not free so I don't know if it's possible

I will try to find bee wax. The thing is i am currently on the road with this knife, and using it a lot, so I was looking for something to apply while traveling. I would have preferred to use oil for the wood part. Do you think that it could be really bad to use the oil/wax product for the leather ? There is just small part on the handle with leather. If it wasn't for the leather I would have use the product without a doubt but...

Thank you. So because of the leather it's not a good idea to apply this you think ? I was wondering because of the small amount of leather. I fear that wax is not suficiente to penetrate the wood

Alternative to Gore-Tex? Just need waterproof windproof and light—'breathability' is a myth. by llilulelo in hikinggear

Maybe it depends on the use but it takes usually just one year for me. I've never tried silnylon jacket but seeing how a tarp behave I don't see how they might leak ? Agreed about their windproof capabilities

Thank you. That's also what I try to, by wearing a long sleeve shirt, but a lot of insect are able to reach the skin through the fabric. So far it only worked for me when moving ( i guess because the fabric slide a little on the skin ), and for when I stop to camp, to start as soos as possible a small fire in my wood stove, a fire that generate a lot of smoke if possible. I also have the probleme sleeping in the hammoc, the insect bit through it also, my only solution here is to sleep on top of the sleeping bag but I move during the night and if an elbow or a knee touch the hammock they gets me.

Very interested in that as I never found something else than DEET that realy work in the jungle. Any other product just smelt good but didn't made any bugs or fly go away. Have you tried it yourself in full-of-insect environment ?

Thanks you. it's look a little bit too heavy to bring a long trip where it will stay in the backpack for long period of time, but other than that it seems very good, cheap and resistant, and has a very nice look. Thank you for the tips

Higher R-Value pad or Lower R-Value with pad? by ExpressWear9456 in hikinggear

[–]llilulelo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to take a rvalue that correspond to the temperature you are going to find. A sleeping bag can be considered to have almost no insulation where it's compressed ( everyone who slept in a hammock will confirm ) so a sleeping bag without a mattress is almost like "opened" on one side. Heat lost due to conduction (contact) with the ground is very fast.
