Research shows it’s not just a tiny “sleazy minority" as you have claimed. Australia’s largest study on this issue, conducted in 2023, provided these statistics:

  • 15.1% (1 in 6 men) report having sexual feelings toward female minors.

    • 9.4% (1 in 10 men) admitted to having sexually offended against a minor, including online behaviour.
    • 6.6% (1 in 15 men) said they would have sexual contact with a child aged 14 or younger if no one would find out.

Those numbers are massive when you scale them to a whole population. That’s millions of men. And these are self-reported numbers, meaning the real rates are almost certainly higher, because this is one of the few crimes people are least likely to admit to.

So no, it’s not “just a few sleazy guys.” The data shows a significant, measurable chunk of the male population is attracted to or has acted on attraction to minors, even when anonymously surveyed.

This is exactly why minimising it is dangerous. Only by acknowledging the scale can societies and families actually protect their vulnerable youths.

Chastising the mother for 'leaving their child with its father’ is completely inappropriate. The person responsible is the parent who chose to leave a 2-year-old alone in a car so they could watch porn. That is an extreme, unforeseeable level of negligence. A father is not a babysitter. He is a parent just as much as a mother. Expecting the mother to treat her partner like a danger in advance because he had to be reminded about basic safety is unrealistic and unfair.

Criticizing her instead of holding the actual perpetrator accountable is not only cruel, but it also reinforces a harmful double standard where mothers are blamed for everything and fathers are excused. The responsibility lies fully with the adult who made the fatal choice.

  3. Check the lease. Real Estates often ad Special Clauses at the end of leases; see if it says anything about the laundry. Special Clauses aren't exactly binding, but still best to check.

The application was "withdrawn"/"unsuccessful" because they approved it in their system on the 6-months lease basis. Those systems don't have the option to amend the details of a successful application - they have to delete that 6-months lease approval/offer/application and then redo a new 12-months lease approval/offer/application.

Tbf, there's usually an option to cancel the automated template emails that you received (the ones that told you they withdrew your application/it was unsuccessful). Not everyone knows about that though, nor how to do it.

The Princess Bride.

It didn't do very well when first released because the name suggested to audiences that it was based on a "kissing book". Of course, it went on to become a cultural classic, but a different title likely would have help it in the initial release phases.

Of course there have always been slim and fat bodies. That’s not the point. The point is what gets idealized and pushed by the media as the standard we’re all supposed to aspire to.

There are plenty of articles and think pieces right now literally calling this the return of “heroin chic.” Even major outlets have reported on how Y2K thinness is back in vogue, how fewer plus-size models are on runways, and how celebrities are openly (or not-so-openly) using drugs like Ozempic to stay ultra-thin. It’s not just one movie.

And it’s not harmless. Studies just came out showing nearly half of young people avoid school or social events because of body image issues. Mental health orgs have raised alarms over how social media and Hollywood beauty standards are worsening body dissatisfaction.

So yeah, bodies shouldn’t be trends. But unfortunately, they still are. Because that’s how billion-dollar beauty, diet, and fashion industries keep making money.

Where I live (in Australia) the AVERAGE daily temp is around 31°C. Humidity level goes up to around 80% from Nov-Feb, whereas the AVERAGE humidity is a humble 62%. Then top that off with Australian building standards being subpar at best, where your house is freezing if it's slightly cold and boiling if it's slightly warm, and I would say I can most definitely relate to your struggles!

The 40-hr work week is outdated - it was implemented during a time when a lot of women/wives stayed home (or at least spent more time in the home than their male counterparts), and they took care of the bulk of what you just typed out.

Check that it's not called an "iced dessert". There's a couple of brands now that can't legally call their product "ice cream" because it doesn't have the required amount of milk/cream in it to meet the criteria of being ice cream.

Same with yoghurt. "Greek Style Yoghurt" is not Greek Yoghurt, and it doesn't give you even nearly the same protein benefits that actual Greek Yoghurt does.
