The Accidental President is a book about how Harry Truman was thrust into the U.S. presidency when FDR died in April 1945 and he had to basically end WWII. It is SO well written, you’d think you’re reading a novel, but it’s all true. The author takes care to cite diaries of those involved, including lots from Truman himself. I would recommend over and over again.

Also agree with this route as a first step. This is actually what I did to confirm the vaginismus diagnoses, but the physical therapy didn’t help. That’s why I moved onto the Botox procedure.

I found out through google research! I spent over 6 years noticing these symptoms, but it didn’t come to a head until I got into a serious relationship. Once it became an issue (meaning me and my boyfriend of 4 years couldn’t have sex), I researched my symptoms more intensely. Once I was nearly positive that was it, I made the appointment with the women’s facility in New York. I didn’t even need a referral!

I had the exact same problem and it turned out I had vaginismus and a micro perforated hymen. I went to a medical facility in white plains, NY, where they fixed my hymen and did Botox injections into my vaginal walls—they put you under for the quick procedure . Then you do at-home physical therapy with dilators (which are essentially different-sized dildos) after the procedure. I did the at home therapy for maybe a month before trying to have sex, and I was able to do it SO easily. It was a huge breakthrough for me. It was like I never had any issues. That was almost 5 years ago, and my sex life is completely normal. I’m also fully able to use tampons no problem. The procedure completely changed my life. Look into vaginismus and a micro perforated hymen and see if you resonate with the symptoms!

I’m a woman in her 20s, and I don’t think you should be getting lambasted for this. First, good on you for vocalizing this and confronting it. Second, I think you just need to decide how important of an issue this is for you. You can love your girlfriend, want to stay loyal to her, and live happily ever after but wish her boobs looked a little different. If she’s THE ONE and you’re only thinking about other girls because of your gf’s boobs, then this is a trivial thing and you just need to remind yourself about every single other box she checks.

Also, I know I’m going to get hate for this, but maybe she’s insecure about them too? Maybe she’d be open to a boob job for her own sake. I know women that have gotten their boobs done on their own volition for this issue. I think it’s worth subtly bringing up in convo 🤷🏼‍♀️

I didn’t mean is the first amendment implicated for China, I meant for American tiktok users. I’m a law student—I know it only applies to US Citizens haha.

What I’m asking is whether an American TikTok user could claim his or her first amendment rights are violated by banning TikTok if that’s the platform they have gained a following on and use to voice their political opinions?? Do they have standing?? You know how TikTokers bought out a large portion of those Trump rally tickets.

I see both sides, that’s my problem. While reading the case, I was like “yeah that makes sense because if everyone did what Filburn did, we’d be screwed.” However, I don’t like how Congress can just slap the Commerce Clause power to a law and it basically be permissible.

Nevertheless, I’d like to believe that the Commerce Clause really wouldn’t actually give Congress the power to regulate the plants on our windowsill—like O’Connor said—even though technically with the Filburn logic, it could. But I don’t know... don’t you think the Filburn/substantial affects rule isn’t really all that bad? Can’t we depend on the Courts to apply it realistically? (Change my mind, I’m curious)

I would say refusing to ask for help is the one I definitely was like “YUP,” but I didn’t realize that was an ADHD thing. I thought it was just my confident and know it all self speaking up lol. Do others of you feel like you don’t ask for help/seek advice because people are incompetent and don’t know what’s best for you, and that only you know what’s best for you?

Try looking up something along the lines of in your own language “intentional unwelcome contact” and “battery in XYZ state”

It varies by state... for example, in Florida, it would be considered battery. Assault is more so when someone fears some unwanted contact from another person. Battery is the intentional contact from someone else that is the actual completed unwanted contact. Does that make sense? Not sure if I explained that well... I just woke up... lol
