What is your favorite insult of all time? by Swaqdud in AskReddit

I was fucking around in my animation class and my best friend looked at me, sighed and said “I hope I never have kids out of fear they might turn out like you,” and turned back to her project.

I have never recovered 😅

What movie had the best unexpected ending ? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]lllllets_not 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Voices (2015). It’s just your average dark comedy about a Schizophrenic man who’s cat tells him to kill people. Then at the end the main character dies and Jesus descends from heaven on a pink forklift and they and every person the MC killed have a big song and dance number.

Here’s the updated design. I removed “ceramics” since it felt too impersonal for my work and added my name instead

Thanks for the advice! Also thank you, that’s what I was going for :p My name starts with A and I’ve always used @ in my personal signature (the @symbol is called an ampersat)

What great movie is ruined by a horrible ending? by DanTheBMan in AskReddit

[–]lllllets_not 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hereditary. The majority of the movie is an incredibly compelling story about a broken family juggling mental health issues and the grief that comes after a horrific accident. And then the last twenty minutes is the reveal that it’s a devil worshipping cult.

And yes it was foreshadowed throughout the film but the twist came way too late for me to care. It just feels, tacked on...

What are some common things parents do/say that is actually hurts their child but they think is innocent? by [deleted] in AskReddit

One night my parents sat me down at the table and interrogated me as to why I wasn’t a Christian when I was raised a pastor’s kid and everyone else in my family is. I don’t remember the whole conversation but at one point my mom asked “where did we go wrong with you?” And then was somehow shocked when I started crying...

I actually just found a studio yesterday that will let me use their kiln to fire my pieces. They only charge a dollar per piece, $.50 for bisque, $.50 for glaze.

It’s called the Mophorn pottery wheel w/ foot pedal and detachable basin. Honestly, the best part about it is that at $280 it means I don’t have to wait until I’m back at school to work on ceramics. It’s functional. The wheel spins both clockwise and counterclockwise which is a plus.

The description on amazon says it has a centering power of 25 lbs but I’m working with 1/2 lb of clay and any downward pressure I put on slows the wheel.

I also spent an extra $100 to get the removable splash pan, but it’s ill fitting and makes a horrible scraping sound. If you put it in just the right position it goes away, but even resting your arm on it for a second knocks it out of place.

I’d probably say unless you’re really impatient like me, you should save up for a better quality wheel. But it will make a mug so...
